JOROMonster 5
So as everyone is speculating, Taylor is coming for Britney's (1.319M) and Eminem's (1.322M) first week album sales weaves. But, in my opinion, I think if she plays her cards right she can tie up to, maybe out-do the #1 songs off an album record. Currently Katy Perry is tied up with Michael Jackson with their record having 5 songs from an album reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Taylor already has the debut single off 1989, Shake it Off, gone to #1. The second single, Blank Space, has remained in the Top 3 on iTunes since last week when the album was released and its already at #29 on Pop Radio when it is "supposed" to be sent to radio stations on November 10th. I think this song will also become #1 with the right promo (which Taylor always seems to have). After Blank Space has its single run Taylor has many other songs that have potential. In example: Style All You Had To Do Was Stay I Wish You Would Bad Blood And if she picks a single off the promo singles she released prior to the album being released Out of the Woods has potential. Im not sure about Welcome to New York though. Also if she decides for a bonus track to be a single (Has this ever been done before?) I can see New Romantics and Wonderland having that #1 nod. So what do you think? Does TayLORD have the potential/power to break the "5 Songs from One Album Go #1" Record??
PicklePower 1,649
I doubt it. If she doesn't put them back on Spotify, it's really going to hurt her. Benji 20,113
She certainly has a chance, problem is with huge album sells it becomes hard to shift the singles at a large number too. See Born This Way for example.
ThisGuyTony 29,416
U.S. iTunes 19 - Lips Are Moving 20 - Love Me Harder Wow! Kind of glad Meghan won't be a one hit wonder! Logan 20,648
There's a ton of radio hits on the album, I wouldn't even doubt it.

Retep 0
Her biggest obstacle is going to be the upcoming release schedule of other artists IMO, if she was simply going against artists in the field right now she'd have no problem but with so many coming back soon it's going to be beyond rough for her to accomplish. The promo for each song would have to be pretty strenuous as well (which she'd have taken care of up until her tour really).

zexion_armando 241
Ugh, can we go back to the time before 1989 came out so we would could literally stop talking about this nonsense.

DrewStevens 5,249
I doubt it. She only has two #1 hits and both were pre album release. I think 1998 will have other big hits but I doubt she can get more #1 hits than Katy during the TD era.

SIRE 75
Probably not tbh. Her first few singles are always huge but her post album singles are usually still platinum, but not as big. Who knows though.
