However, a lot of people take chart data personally, and they become very emotional when their fav is not charting as well as they'd hoped. They lash out with excessive negativity and disrespect until other members no longer feel this is a safe and fun place to have chart discussions. We do want to support free speech as much as possible, but we also want an atmosphere that is fun for the fans. This "meltdown" phenomenon has been especially apparent in the Charts and Sales section, so GagaDaily has decided to pay special attention to the activity in this thread to try and keep the peace. In addition to all standard forum rules, the following rules will be strictly applied to Charts and Sales: - Do not disrespect, shade, or insult Lady Gaga or her contemporaries even if the intention of your post is sarcasm or humor. - Excessive negativity and meltdowns are not allowed. While you are allowed to have negative opinions, you must keep them respectful and not overly repetitive or badgering. Failure to follow these rules will result in either Flamebait or Disrespect warnings. Repeat offenders will receive stronger warnings. Posts that are traditionally regarded as "borderline" by the Mod Team will likely be given actual warnings versus soft warnings. Members who are overly distraught and creating excessive negativity over bad chart news will be given short-term bans (24 hours) to cool off.
