There's a difference between constructive critism and just blatant moaning, and tbh, GGD has just been so negative lately. There's also a difference between surrounding yourself with yes-men and just not wanting to be dragged left right and centre by your fans...

I feel bad that we pushed her away :(

blahblahblahhhh

Oh please, you don't know how she is acting. She simply isn't going to put up with constant negativity from her own fanbase when she already has to put up with it from the media. She has the right to do that. She isn't ignoring criticism, that doesn't even happen here. The only thing posted here is whinning and complaining. She doesn't have to see all that. Have a seat.

I am all up for her not visiting GGD and focusing on herself for a while. She needs a break, this entire era was a huge cluster**** of negativity and backlash, I just want her to forget about it all for some time and recharge her batteries. Plus, I rarely ever bashed anything Gaga did because I believe that if you don't have anything nice to say, just don't say anything at all. But this situation irked me.

Yes, media has turned against her (to some extent) and now her fans are doing the same. Well, I am not one of them, but I just don't see the point of her stating how she doesn't visit GGD anymore. I mean, is that some kind of a petty revenge? That's so 5th grade. Sometimes I am not even sure who is getting crazier here - Gaga or her own fanbase.

And I won't comment on that last part, I am not so fond of using that kind of a stan-slang, but thank you anyway.

but it's Christmas, its a time she needs without the music and the fame, like Emma said she isn't even properly healed from her surgery and people need to give her sometime to spend with her family cause you know thats what she loves most, I'm sorry but i don't agree with she has to work at this time of year to please fans

Nobody had said anything against it. But we all know that she hasn't got any freetime, and even that little time she spends on surfing the net and looking for negative comments, well i don't know if that's so healthy, well not to me. Especially if she can't handle "negative" comments.

But whatever, this whole Era has been full of drama, and most of it comes directly from her.

stop with that freedom of expression ****, each of you know what kind of b---hing and moaning happens in this forum, and its just childish behaviour, insults, and treating Gaga like your slave, I have yet to see a mature piece of criticism in this forum, that can point out the negative without dragging her and insulting her

so dont come out with that "itz a forum i can talk shet cuz im freeee" bs, you know you can be mature about stuff and not at annoying b---h that has no friends irl

Just wondering - does anyone know if Emma was told to say this or if she's saying it out of frustration? I hope the latter...

This kind of butt-hurtedness is absurd, Lady Gaga is a superstar.

Why isn't Gaga talking to the the entire fandom? why is she letting some fans speak for her?

she should write a letter or something.

It really bugs me how she only talks through "super fans" and such. When this go from the democracy of Gaga to the Republic of Gaga?

I see both sides. As an artist, constructive criticism is good if it comes off as respectful and actually constructive. Yelling how she's flopping and some of the rather ****ty opinions running rampant here are just downright unacceptable. It's no longer constructive, but deconstructive.

At the same time however, she did read here because we are like her focus group. What do we like? How does the music make us feel? Stuff like that. You can't say that every opinion is hurtful, but she's closing off that criticism and to keep a healthy relationship with art, you need to be able to accept that everything you create isn't successful and what could you do to improve it.

I agree with her on many things, but creative people need to be as open as possible and accept criticism and it looks like that's a weakness in her work. I mean I don't know it's not my place, but both sides are at fault. The fans for not realizing how deconstructive their comments are and her for not paying attention to the good criticism and maybe even embracing it.

Doesn't make me love her any less though

That's exactly where the problem lies here.  I've said it before and I'll say it again; contrary to what this forum thinks I have given her constructive criticism on numerous occasions so no, I don't like everything she does and no, she doesn't surround herself with all "yes" people.  It may appear that way on the outside but I have seen it firsthand.  You don't know the whole story.

The key is respect.  It is one thing to give constructive criticism but it is quite another to flat-out disrespect her.

And right now there are people complaining in the Radio ARTPOP thread because we plan on pointing out negativity tonight. I didn't see these statuses either, so thank you for this thread.

I haven't visited the thread, but by the looks of it its because you're pointing out something that should otherwise go unnoticed and forgotten. What are you gonna do, huh? Single out the instigators, or just talk in general? Looks more like a scheme to get views than a real discussion. :usrs:

This is all going to come to a head soon, and it's not going to be pretty. She has too much pride in herself as an artist to take any constructive criticism. It started with BTW and it's only gotten worse since then.

I hope you realise that "go stan for katy" comment was bad to say :duck:
