I'm confused about one thing.Jon snow's fate is still unknown in the books, right?and God knows how long will it take George R. R. Martin to release the next book.
So how are they going to continue the story in future seasons.Have George r. martin already told upcoming plots to the directors and if so,it'll ruin the experience for the fans who read the books. :duck:

someone put me out of this misery.I've been thinking about it ever since i saw the finale :deadbanana:

What I understood is the author has voiced his ideas to the creators of the show, or someone like that so they know plus he's already written an outline to complete the story.  Not the actual novels, but an outline so the creatives do have something to work with.

jons death is way more justified in the books.

the show version of it was in my view really lazy. didnt like it because i was spoiled by the books :emma:

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

That was a solid season finale. Having read all the books, the show is now well and truly entering new territory. Every storyline has either been changed or is up to date with the books.

I don't get all the Jon Snow-hate. I think Jon's the most heroic character the series has - that, and I believe he's the most decent character in the show and the books (along with Sansa and Brienne). His story hasn't been as glamorous or bright as some of the other arcs, however when you view the series as a whole (it is essentially a War between Ice and Fire), Jon is one half of the narrative. He's probably the only character who doesn't have a warped view of the world they live in. Plus, we all know he's not Ned's son. That needs to be answered.
I hope he's resurrected in some way. Personally, I believe he is 'Azor Ahai' & I think Melissandre will resurrect him using the sacrifice of Shireen as payment to her Lord. She says her fires show her nothing but Snow when talking about this 'Azor Ahai' character. I don't think Jon's done and dusted. As Sam said a few episodes ago.. 'I wouldn't worry about Jon, he always comes back'.

Dany's scene was epic. But if her arc for S6 is going to be her captured by the Dothraki / rescued by either Drogon or Jorah/Dario.. how boring. In the books Drogon was next to her when the Dothraki surrounded her, and he wasn't exhausted like he was in the show.

Cersei's scene was heartbreaking. I hate Cersei Lannister with a passion, but I felt so bad for her watching her Atonement. Lena slayed that scene so much. The body-double CGI looked awkward in some parts but Lena was pregnant at the time & doesn't do nudity and I completely respect that. I sort of want to see her get revenge on the Faith, but at the same time.. I've wanted her to see her powerless for so long.

Arya's arc is getting messy. Sansa and Theon better survive that massive fall (seriously, if Miranda died falling off that balcony, Sansa and Theon should've splattered like pancakes jumping off of the castle.) I'm happy to see the back of the Baratheons. I do not care for the Dorne arc at all. The Jamie/Myrcella scene tried to be touching, but it wasn't. Ellaria Sand is a nuisance and I cannot wait to see Prince Doran destroy her (assuming his threats will become reality). Tyrion and Varys in Mereen excites me. No Loras/Margery/Littlefinger annoyed me. I was expecting hints towards next season's arcs (e.g. Greyjoys etc.) but there was no mention of anything. Also.. what happened to Gendry?

I can't cope knowing no new GoT for 9.5 months. And so my watch begins tbqh.

That was a really great post!  I really thought (and still hope) that Jon's story is not finished because we (or I) am left wondering who his parents really were.  Ned Stark saved the baby from some traumatic event.

Honestly, I would have liked to see Jon die in a fight scene probably, but I'm not really that into his caracter so meh...

Kalisi is still there, my queen is going to slay them all

But very depressing way to finish the season tbh..

Thanks lol. I could go on for days about the show/books; they're so thorough and just brilliantly written. I cannot wait until the Winds of Winter is released. I mean... hopefully he can get it out before the next season airs.

The issue of Jon's parentage is something that probably won't be addressed until the last chapter of the final book of the series. He'll milk it for all it's worth!

Either Jon or Dany will turn out to be Azor ahai. Dany is a stronger candidate imo tho. If they snub Dany the next season and let her become a prisoner I'm out. She's the only reason I'm still watching the show anyways

Read somewhere that GOT locations scouts were looking for locations for The Citadel and casting people to be in House of Tarly which is the family of that fat kid Sam....

Im so not here for an even more so elaborate Sam story then it already is tbqfh.

Also confirmed for S6 is filming location in Sevilla aka Dorne...

…I like Sam and Gilly. They're not my favourites by any means, but they're both enjoyable characters and I like their scenes. Idk where Sam's story goes in the books, but I still don't want Sam taking up a larger role unless it's necessary to the story.

I'd say they're even more horrendously monotonous than Jon and that's saying something. Nah, not for me at all
