-Stannis already told Sam that Dragonstone has plenty of Dragon glass, and he knows from previous experience that Dragon glass/Obsidian can kill White Walkers. Why did he need to travel to the Citadel and go through all of this- for something he already knew? Also his scenes where unnecessarily long- & we did not need to see every single turd. :eww:

-I loved Arya's scenes. Her killing off all relevant Frey members was brilliant. Is she headed south? I thought she'd head North.. maybe she meets Melisandre along the way and urges her to go North.

-I thought Clegane's scenes were too long, but I see the point.

-Everything else was okay. Like every first episode, it pretty much sets things up. The best opener IMO remains S1. This one was average. I give this ep a 7/10.

I AM SHOOKETH. It obviouslt isn't the fastest paced episode ever in their history, but set the tone for the season and hyped me up incredibly. Can't wait!!!!!

I feel like everything that's going to happen is so predictable at this point, I want to be surprised.  Cersei is doomed to lose. Literally the whole world is against her. Daenerys is too powerful at this point to not have some kind of downfall, as much as I love her; She's definitely going to lose a dragon and there will probably be an ice dragon that takes the wall down at the end of this season.

This first episode almost put me to sleep tbh. It was way too slow paced.

I understand everything was being set up so I expect it to get much better.

As an OPENER I expected more though.

Those Samwell's scenes makes me gag tbh :eww:

Other than that, it is good tbh.

Emilia Clarke script for ep 1:

Spoiler

on the boat: look anticipated and a bit worried, say nothing

on the land: touch the sand, walk and touch things, take off the Lannister's coat of arm, clean some sand, look at the Tyrion and say: "shall we begin".

end of ep 1 for you.

And she makes  $1.1 million per episode. :awkney:

The ep was cool. I LOVED Arya's scenes, Daenerys arriving was so emotional and Jon Vs Sansa is going to be one hell of a ride. Other than that, it was just the first episode. Nothing more.

🔵 - Banned because I quoted a stupid meme. Literally. So, yeah.

Arya is going south and Euron is looking for a prize for Cersei. I think Arya is going to be captured and Cersei will hold her hostage.

I need more! The first episode each season always leave me feeling underwhelmed, but I know it's building up.

With an abbreviated season there probably won't be much filler.  The pace should pick up soon and stay steady.  I'm glad Arya's storyline finally paid off.

I like how they are giving Clegane more of a "human" side.  He hasn't been a main character of the show, but whatever I see of him, I really like.

Cersei and Jamie seem so alone and isolated.  I hope Jamie survives to the end.  Cersei's pretty desperate if she's considering help from Euron Greyjoy.  :giggle:

I'm looking forward to this season quite a bit.

While it was an okay-ish opener, I'm really getting tired of Emilia Clarke's acting. She's always so emotionless. I expected her to be visibly emotional after finally arriving in Westeros and maybe even smile when seeing what her ancestors built. But nope. Nothing.

Yeah, I always thought her acting was very wooden.  People love her, but I never could get into that character.  Her dragons are much more interesting.

There are so many other actors that were so much better.  (Of now, most are dead).

This episode was stunning! 10/10!

The opening scene slayed me :firega:

I wasn't expecting to see a story line from all the major characters, I thought the pacing was great!
