Everyone thinks they know better than the professionals who work in the music industry every day and who make a living by making the right decisions. My theory is this: By the time Applause was released, Roar had been out for a day and was on everybody's minds and was all over the radio. If Applause had come out before Roar, it would have been Applause that slayed the charts for weeks ... it is a much better song. IMO. I live outside the space time continuum.
