That marimba part is literally everything and I need to learn it! I love the new verse.

I wasn't saying that she was miming, but what was the point of the piano on DWUW? Just to have something to do with her hand the 20 or 25 seconds while she didn't put them up? She gave us WONDERFUL piano performances, the one like this are really... well, below her.

Dude.....

Without the piano her performance would have been acapella. Sometimes minimal works better, and IMO minimal piano from Gaga suited this song perfectly tonight. Her vocals were incredible and I was slayed.

she was using the piano to accompany her voice; that is why she was only playing chords cuz she was focusing on singing cuz her voice was the melody.  Even if she's just playing chords on the piano it adds something special to the performance.  She's an amazing piano player but its nearly impossible for her to show off all her piano skills while delivering great vocals.  That performance was amazing and that was not below her

Her vocals are flawless, but she needs to stop using autotune. Don't get me wrong, I know very well that she doesn't use it for pitch correction, but probably just because it makes her voice sound more clear. I don't like it. It's doing nothing for her voice, instead it takes away all the edginess and rawness, which I love.

It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.

Her vocals were wonderful as usual, that's true. But I disagree on the minimal. I mean, less can be more, that's true, but not if the less is embarassing as this (and a lot of other, lately) performances. That's the main point. If it just a once thing, it would not bother me so much, but she hasn't played a great piano in a long while...

@Dean Winchester: I was talking about the piano performance being below her, not the overall performance.

And, to the ones saying 'pressed britney fan' no, I'm not a fan of playback spears.

And to the one telling me to go away using a gif of Mrs Streep... Dude, just grow up and learn to accept different opinion and to actualy reply in a costructive way. Otherwise, follow your own suggestion because a 3 years old-like comment is kinda useless : V

Both performances were vocally impressive. Her best this era without a doubt. Do What U Want is such and amazing song, glad it got the acoustic treatment. And the xylophone sounds so good in this. :legend:

I love how Dope serves for Gaga as some sort of exorcism. It feels so honest.

And the interview and Painting with Gaga were very funny. She was cute. :)

As much as I love Dope, I really hate when she sings it with this creepy pathetic voice  :messga: I love the studio version, it´s her best ballad, but please, sing it more natural gags  :ARTPOP:

I disagree completely. She actually sings it here differently. It's like the same deeper tone, but sounds much cleaner. But it's much better, especially for Dope.
