HOELLAND 1
No offense, but her team knows based on Born This Way dates where she sells best. They also know she has a reduced public profile now. It would be reckless to schedule dates at big Midwest arenas she can't possibly fill. And if she downgrades to theatres, then people will cry "FLOP!" This is SMART. Pretty much all of this. RichAssPiss 4,725
OMG. Then come and cry with me  Happily. I'm just trying to look at the bright side. It really seems Gaga has thought through artRave and is trying to create a new experience. The pricing feature alone must have taken some major finagling with promoters, etc. We don't even know what kind of events will accompany the show. She seems to suggest it will be more than a concert. My point being, they have thought this through. A smaller scale tour that makes a big impact is better than spreading her too thin and emphasizing that she is not the peak artist she was in the past. If the show smashes. IF. Maybe she can do a bigger tour next time.

I'm a bit devastated. I don't want to be selfish though...
CoolTrainerTerry 1,306
I WAS THERE TOO. :) What made you think she loves us? Just cus Tara is from here? It's from the way she's tweeted about STL every time she's here, and...I dunno, she seems different here.
markpop 0
I'm sure they are gonna gauge sales first then reveal/add dates accordingly. I'm sure we'll see 2nd shows for certain cities too.
StrawberryBlond 14,195
Obviously, she will release more dates. The NA leg for BTWB started off really small too and ended up with 39 dates (pre-cancellation) because not only did she add more gigs to the most popular dates, but she added new cities constantly (Hamilton, Uncasville, Greensboro, Tulsa...). Just when we thought that was all the dates, she added more. And this was when the album was well over a year old and had completely fallen out the public's consciousness, so it was just the fans going. Tickets released now when ARTPOP is still fresh and there is Act II coming while spark a lot of GP-purchased tickets, so there's no way 25 dates will be it. I know Gaga sold out all those gigs at Roseland, but I'm sure those fans will still go to see the tour when she comes to NYC. If they're dedicated enough to pay top dollar for those tickets and meet&greets, they'll fork out for tour tickets too. And even if they didn't, do you really think Lady "I love New York" Gaga is only going to do one arena gig in New York? BTWB had 4 arena gigs in NY. That means she should have about 3 or so this time. And she always does at least 3 gigs in Florida, so one isn't going to fly. She always does 2 in Washington DC. This isn't even counting other old haunts. Here's a run-down: Dates that could turn into multiple shows Fort Lauderdale (a further 2 dates across Florida. She wouldn't miss out Miami - that's one of the rave capitals of the world. That's why the Ultra Music Festival is held there. I even thought that's where she'd perform. You can't have a tour called artRave and not do a gig in Miami). New York City (a further 2-3 dates. Gaga + 1 NY gig doesn't gel). Washington DC (a second date). Vancouver (a second date). Toronto (a second date). Chicago (a second date). Las Vegas (a second date). Los Angeles (a second date). Total: 10-11 extra dates Cities that could be added later Portland, Oregon (went there for BTWB). Phoenix, Arizona (went there for BTWB). St Louis, Missouri (went there for BTWB). Kansas City, Missouri (went there for BTWB). Hamilton, Canada (was planned for BTWB). Nashville, Tennessee (was planned for BTWB). Greensboro, North Carolina (was planned for BTWB). Tulsa, Oklahoma (was planned for BTWB). Somewhere in New Jersey (Boardwalk Hall planned for BTWB but replaced due to the flood). Somewhere in Kentucky (went there for TMB). Somewhere in Indiana (went there for TMB). Somewhere in Nebraska (went there for TMB). Somewhere in Utah (went there for TMB). Somewhere in Colorado (went there for TMB - I speculated that she didn't go there for BTW because of her use of guns). Total: 7-14 possible new cities added. Overall, she could add another 17-25 new dates. She could wind up with 42 dates in total, at the very least, beating BTWB's planned amount of 39. Bear in mind that she may also do these dates first, tour the rest of the world, and come back and do the cities she missed and do second dates. Many big name artists do that. I notice that Texas and Georgia are the only true conservative states that she's listed so far. She could be doing the more liberal states first as they'll be more likely to embrace her and leave the red states towards the end of the entire tour when they've had time to become more adjusted to her. I somehow don't think a heavy focus on the deep south and the north west would be ideal for Gaga at this moment in time.
Sara 1,128
Look at the biggest cities by population: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Metropolitan_Statistical_Areas 19 of the 20 largest cities are around the edges of the country. The only one that isn't is St. Louis coming in AT #19. So they are targeting the biggest cities (and some cities near the biggest cities) first. Makes sense! But I'm sure there will be a show for St. Louis and probably Denver and KC too. :)
HuntyBooBoo 0
If she doesn't add the cities she missed, that is so insulting.
Coral Cunt 0
If she doesn't add the cities she missed, that is so insulting. Yeah my Nashville BWTB was cancelled so I was expecting her to list it for sure..I'll be pretty upset if she doesn't tbh
EGOT2027 10,807
If she doesn't add the cities she missed, that is so insulting. Ya. She's still missing Tulsa and Nashville, right? Where else?
tokyodisko 0
Is there a correlation between the cities she missed last time and the ones who have yet to be announced?

And that's an interesting idea about how she has to also time her tour due to political things as well. All the Midwest shows have the WBC protesting their **** outside of concerts as well unfortunately.
