yup. it's still important to invest promo in the American market, and that won't change throughout gagas whole career, but markets like china will become extremely important as soon as itll be easier to get your tour there.

Gaga could sell 50k tickets from 130 million people in Japan (obviously its mostly people from tokyo), imagine what she could potentially do with 1.3+ billion people, of which a MUCH larger percentage fits the pop demo. I think that having a 500k attendance in China will be possible in the future with promotion there.

Could she? Because she's vetoed there (or that's what I know), and I'm very sure that we would see the same thing that Jakarta if she arrives.  Although, you're right, she needs to expand her Chinese fanbase, even if that country is the most pirate one, the population is huge, and probably a bigger public could help the sales in Hong Kong and Taiwan (although they are already quite good, lol), and she could do shows in biggest places, because the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall (11.005) and the AsiaWorld-Arena (13.000) were very small places for a tour like the Born This Way Ball  :nooo:

I completely agree. Mariah played for over 38,000 people Beijing this month. She's doing stadiums everywhere in China.

And she didn't performed there since 2004 (and she only performed in Shanghai this year...). It's all because she created a strong fanbase there.

 

I also think that she should develop her Japanese tour as well. I mean... She's only performing in Tokyo/Saitama/Chiba... I'm sure that there are a lot of fans in Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya too. And the venues are cool.

You need special approval to perform in mainland China. China isnt religious so there wouldnt be a lot of protests. Now it seems impossible, but in a year or ten I'm sure she'd be allowed. It's all changing so rapidly. I mean, they already allowed ARTPOP to be released.

I agree, but I think it should only go to:

 

China: Beijing (+fans from Mongolia and Russia) Shanghai, Taipei and Hong Kong

 

Another asian cities: Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Manila, Hanoi, Seoul, Tokyo, New Delhi, Colombo
