Biagio2103 6,225
Guys, I don't want to sound out of place, but Gaga's team isn't that stupid at all. Look, I know that Madonna is the highest-grossing female artist ever, but she could gross more if her tours had dates in Australia and New Zealand. Her albums are always under the sales in these countries (like Gaga's), but we can't deny that those markets are very important, and she can even sell out four arenas there. Maybe Gaga's team don't want to lose these markets because they know that it will be bad for her and the fans (especially the gross of the tours, lol). What do you think? Last Madonna's concert on Australia was in 1993 with her The Girlie Show World Tour (her 4th tour, artRAVE is also Gaga's 4th tour, right?). I'm only good at being bad

HausOfRahul 8
Can someone catch me up on the updates of the amounts of tickets sold in Tel Aviv, Dubai, Greece, and Istanbul? The only recent update I remember is Tel Aviv at 15,000 tickets (but that might be wrong so don't quote me on that).

South Blonde 6,216
How many tickets have been sold for the Istanbul date? Don't you think maybe they are the same thing? Love and attention?
MelbHawker 6,583
I'm pretty sure that the first Melbourne + Sydney dates were really near to sold-out! I was at the first Melb. Show.... honestly it looked sold out to me. The seats were full. They could've fit more people standing, but still. She needs to do more promo here when her singles drop. Cruelty 6,172
Let's put all of this behind us. Curtains? Who said ANYTHING about curtains? (But there quite obviously were curtains, I'm not from pawsdown or anything, it's just a fact) Edited August 31, 2014 by NeonSkeleton

MelbHawker 6,583
Well... If that is really the truth then Gaga should not come back in Oz for another tour anymore lol like how Madonna ignored that country. That's not fair on her Australian fanbase. Melbourne and Sydney pretty much sold out. She shouldn't have announced the second shows, simple as that - a big mistake whoever made that call. Brisbane was full. Perth wasn't - but Perth itself is a way smaller market than states like Sydney and Melbourne are. Regardless of how the ticket sales were - Australia is a huge market for her. The BTWB sold out 5 times over in Syd/Melb. If she wants global impact, then she should aim to tour in as many places as possible, not just go where the money is like 'lazy' artists (i.e Madonna). The problem here lies in both Tour Promotion (there was none here), as well as the promo that happened back when ARTPOP was released. There was none in Australia. She came to tour and celebrate the album. No-one knows ARTPOP here... if people don't know the music, why would they buy a ticket for a tour they didn't know existed? Her management threw ARTPOP under a bus from the very beginning. It's not that people don't like her here - they do.

Gaga didn't visit some countries for this tour like Brazil, Taiwan, Philippines, Mexico and that is also unfair for us. Do you mean you guys should be given special consideration? Anyway i dont think Gaga will abandon Australia tho. She loves your country obvz. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
