I think she is missing a big platform on which to promote... where can she perform a new single for promo? The options open to her are few and far between... unless she utilizes YouTube and controversy... I'm starting to have doubts about the selling power of this tour..

At least we know the reason why her promo has been such a mess and now she's clearly working hard behind the scenes to get everything back on track. It's not like she doesn't know she has to have a good promo for her tour, so I'm absolutely not disappointet or sad at the moment. I even love this silence in a way... I like how she's not giving anything away and making any promises, hopefully Feb is going to be the real start and we're going to get news soon. Considering there's no promo at the moment and there's still like, what, 4 months till the tour starts?, she's already doing well, so no doubt she's going to sell out majority of the dates.

Couldn't she simply do 5 radio interviews a day for a week to promote a few tourdates? That could help the tour sell a lot I think.. Most radio stations in bigger cities have 15k+ people listening all the time, and worth of mouth and people inviting a friend and people going with their family etc could make the tour sell a lot more. I don't even think radio interviews cost money, and you'll get more radio exposure too.

I doubt that interviews can help sell that much tickets, but who knows. She needs a big hit.

Anyway, she is doing ok. All the dates are 75% sold. The problem is that comparasions will come and Katy seems she will do better in North America this time, which is sad because we know how much she can sing.

That's another thing.

I mean, do radio interviews even cost money? And do hits grant ticket sales? People probably won't think 'oh, I just heard a Gaga song on radio. Let's search for tour tickets.'

A big hit wont help you sell a full show, but a big hit will help Gaga to sell the 1% - 25% tickets that didnt sell until now. I doubt that radio interviews will do much here. Radio contests are more lickely to help. People who will participate and not win will more likely buy a ticket than one that heard Gaga on the radio saying the same things.

What about Gaga announcing the contest on each radio station? Like she gives 2 free VIP tickets to every radio station she goes, and tells them to do a contest with Gaga songs or something

I dont know. I think its too much. For this she has people working for her. I think that she will nevertheless sell the remaining tickets for most of the dates even if the next single doesnt become a big hit, with maybe not more than 5 dates being only  :toofunny:  90% sold, which will count as sold out anyway, knowing how flexibles the rules are.

I think she will have bigger problems in Europe, where Applause didnt do as good as in North America and because she toured with Btwb more than in North America.

So since the UK dates have been announced and we can see that Gaga's taking almost a 2 month break in between the US leg and the European Leg. When do we expect the 3rd leg to start and where?

I'm not sure honestly. We have to remember she's also going into space next year and needs a few months of training for that before she can, so...
