famous 467
When can we start lining up? My ride to St. Paul leaves tomorrow and that is my only way of getting there. Would tomorrow be too early? Honestly seems a little excessive for this tour :). I don't think it's worth it to put yourself through 2 days of sitting on the street, when you could show up the day of and still get a great spot :). Allison M 357
Good news and I hope I don't jinx it, but the forecast no longer says rain on Tuesday! It's still going to Monday night for sure, but at least it won't be throughout the day!! :)

Wanna exchange numbers or twitters so we can try and find each other on Tuesday? don't be a drag
thefamefatale 264
There are signs all around the venue with gate numbers. As Katie said, you'll want to be at Gate 1, and you won't miss it since it's at the main entrance of Xcel. They may let people line up inside gate 1 instead of out on the sidewalk since that's what they did at the Monster Ball, but it depends on whether they're feeling nice or not. Here's a map that shows all the gate locations: I'm not sure if you can line up at the other gates. I went to gate 4 at the Monster Ball, was first in line (there were maybe 15 people there) and I got second row. Complete luck. I'd call Xcel beforehand and ask if you can use the gates besides gate 1 because most people assume you can only enter at gate 1. Okay. So you basically just went to a different door and then booked it in there to try and beat the people at door 1? Are you doing that this year?? I'm so nervous.. Haus 152
Okay. So you basically just went to a different door and then booked it in there to try and beat the people at door 1? Are you doing that this year?? I'm so nervous.. Yes, that is what I did, and it really worked. I was right up with LMZ even though I was technically only in line at gate 4 for about 30 minutes. My friend and I had been at gate 1 from 10am, but there were quite a few people there, so we had gate 4 as our back up plan. 45 minutes before they were going to begin letting GA in, I walked over to the gate 4 entrance to see if there was anyone there and it was empty, so I texted my friend to come over there too. When Xcel opens on Monday, call them and ask if you'll be able to line up at gate 4 or if it'll only be limited to gate 1. Don't be nervous, though. Get there as soon as you can (preferably around 8am or earlier) and you'll be fine. artRave's stage is definitely the most "crowd friendly" in that you can get a great view from almost anywhere in the pit, so it isn't as important to be at the front of the line anymore. The only reason that the BTWB had such extreme waiting in line is because people wanted to get the Skeleton Key and they wanted to get in the Monster Pit. And if they do allow you to line up at gate 4, you probably won't need to get in line as early as everyone else is. Like I said, we were first in line and that wasn't long before they let us in. You should check periodically throughout the morning and afternoon to see if there are people at gate 4 just in case someone else realized you could line up there, so that you can then quickly get your spot in line. If you wait until like 4pm and there are a bunch of people at gate 4, that wouldn't be good. But like I said, most people assume gate 1 is the only entrance so I doubt there will be many people at gate 4. Also, they may not immediately let you into gate 4. We had to wait outside of it for maybe 15 minutes which made us feel a little hopeless, but then they let us inside to an area that had a restaurant and bar (so you can get something in you before the show), but the gate was also there too (just a fenced off area leading to the numbered doors around the arena). Once the time came, they opened up the fence and we fast walked to the entrance to the arena. I believe they told us which number to enter in, but since it was 4 years ago I can't remember it that well. But do NOT run when they open the gates. I did that at first and they yelled at me Oh and to answer your last question, I'm not going GA this time so I won't be trying it at gate 4. If I was I would totally meet up with you to help make it easier, but really you'll be fine. I see your profile says you're 16, well I was 13 when I went to the Monster Ball lol and lining up was a smooth experience. Are you going with anyone or are you going alone? I'm going with my friend, so we could both probably just check when we get there (which is actually like gonna be 10:30 am which is kinda ehh now that you said 8:00 is good..) in intervals. I like that strategy a lot though! Are there people who tell you where to go depending on where your ticket is located for..? I know I'm asking stupid questions I'm just so nervous lol :'( The last time I went to a Gaga concert was 4 years ago too which was the 8/31/10 show. I think that's when you went as well. Anyways, I'm going with one friend. OH ONE MORE QUESTION. Do they let you buy merchandise while in line or how does that work?? Okay sorry for all the questions and THANK YOU SO MUCH Edited May 18, 2014 by TheFameFatale don't be a drag

Anyways, I'm going with one friend. OH ONE MORE QUESTION. Do they let you buy merchandise while in line or how does that work?? Okay sorry for all the questions and THANK YOU SO MUCH I'm putting this in a spoiler tag so I don't hog up the entire page Yeah, it's not a bad idea to secure your spot in line at gate 1 while checking gate 4 every 40 minutes or so. It's not a long walk either, so it works pretty nice. You just walk around the west side of the arena to the other side where gate 4 is. All GA tickets are the same. I know that sometimes the tickets might say "GA3", "GA7", or any random number after "GA", but that makes no difference. GA is GA, and everyone will be waiting in the same line. All you need to do is show up, look for the line at gate 1, and then maybe ask someone in line if that is the general admission line just to be sure. The only other line there would be is LMZ, but like I said, just ask someone in line who looks friendly. I know that for The Monster Ball, they let us line up inside of gate 1 and the GA and LMZ lines were distinctly separated. There were maybe 7 or so entrances into the arena (so they were all sort of their own mini lines), and then LMZ was waiting in line on the steps to the right of all the mini lines. Trust me, everything will be very organized and if you get confused, the staff or others waiting in line will be more than happy to help. It would also not be a bad idea for you and your friend to stop at Xcel tomorrow to get a feel for where everything is located. Gate 1 is always open since it's their main lobby, so you can just walk around and ask the staff questions. As for merchandise, yes, the merch stand is open while you're waiting in line. I'm not sure if it'll be open in the morning, but I'm sure it'll be open my 3pm or so. For The Monster Ball, it was at the top of the stairs where LMZ were waiting and then to the right. You and your friend can go one at a time in order to keep your spots, but I'm sure the people behind you would hold your spot. And it's no problem :) glad to help. This will be the fifth concert I've been to and I'm still nervous, but you just have to remember that there are thousands of others in the same boat and it's Lady GaGa, so everything will be organized and safe. I think it would be a great idea for you to stop at Xcel on Monday because they do have staff around that can answer all of your questions. I went in the day before the Born This Way Ball and the guy at the security desk answered all of my questions. Here's a picture I was able to find of gate 1: The stairs are where LMZ was, and the area on the second floor to the right of the clock and sign that says "Xcel Energy Center" is where the merch stand was. You can see all of the entrances to the left in the picture; that is where all of the mini lines for GA was. It doesn't matter which one you're in, but when I went to the Monster Ball, my friend and I went to the one with the least amount of people. But if you end up being able to go to gate 4, it won't matter anyway. This is what gate 4 looks like from the outside: Very simple... we just sat out there for a little bit until the staff allowed us in. Then we formed a line by this concrete half wall next to the gates that they opened to let us in. Now there's no saying that they'll be handling everything that I've told you the same for artRave, but I'm sure it will all be very similar if not exactly the same. And I'm sure they will let you line up at gate 1 since it would be ridiculous for them to expect over a thousand GA people to line up at only one gate, but like I said, just make sure to stop by tomorrow or at least call them to get all these questions answered so everything can go as smoothly as possible. I would've sent this as a PM to you, but it won't let me since you don't have enough posts :P Edited May 18, 2014 by Haus
