I mean the first time she was performing a massive hit song that was nominated in two of the biggest categories and an album track with elton john while the second time she was premiering live born this way one of the most hyped and buzzed about lead singles in history. This time she isn't even nominated. I think it's 50/50 on performing on the Grammy's when she's not nominated. It isn't really fair to the other artists that are nominated. GUY is way less pretentious and honestly which child gets that Girl Under You and Retweeting is about s-xual positions? :eek: I think that she needs to build a little bit of riskiness. Make every next single a little bit riskier. Safe isn't working for Gaga, as shown with DWUW (and even MTN - in my opinion) 1. Applause 2. DWUW 3. Gypsy 4. GUY 5. ARTPOP 6. Venus 7. Aura Aura and Venus have lots of potential, and are songs that one person really likes and the other person really dislikes. I think that Aura is very controversial however, but it doesn't matter as the last single. Gaga has no top 10 streak to continue, or records to break. She just has to sell the album, make good videos and show different sides of the album. And anyways, if Venus/Aura flop it can always be blamed on it being a very risky/controversial song with no relatable lyrics, unlike songs like Unconditionally and DWUW (although it might end up going 2x Plat, who knows).I find Applause lyrics relatable for some strange reason though. No its not do you even know why Judas was controversial The only problem is the US radio at this point, I guess Gaga just has to promote heavily there, but WW? it will slay easily, and WW recognition is what Gaga needs the most right now. Judas was controversial because it provoked a religious group, releasing it at Christmas made it even worse. Sexxx dreams won't provoke a group in particular.
