It wasn't until Ray of Light that she became the it girl again and she rode that momentum until the release of American Life in 2003 with two huge albums with ROL and Music. Yup she had a huge popularity issue between 1992 to 1998 (Erotica- Ray of Light) She also alienated her pop fan base with Erotica. Anyone remember any good songs from the album Bedtime Stories? No? not really, because there weren't any. She didn't have a solid nr 1 song for a long time. She was still considered THE Pop queen, like MJ for men but other then that there wasn't really much going for her, with the exception of Evita. And then all of the sudden 6 years later she came back with a new sound and had a great impact again. Sorry for this rant, really showing my age here lol MJ had 5 Albums (LPs) as a solo artists in the XXth century Off The Wall Thriller Bad Dangerous History out of those 5 only 1 imo underperformed and that was dangerous, but still had some beautiful gems in it, Michael was just so so GOOD you know, after an album like Thriller he still managed to sell over 30M(and counting) with BAD History had AMAZING tracks and new explorations of sounds the only black dot in his solo career was Invincible, he tried to hard to sound like the rest and lost a bit of his touch imo, still i jam to many of the songs there, but obviously the GP wasn't hear for that Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
