ARTPOP's Debut was bigger than all of these and I think it has already outsold all of their total sales in the US and worldwide. Even if it is a flop it's nowhere near the flop these albums were. Her perfume sales are fantastic. Her video views are stabilizing. The album sales, well, not tragic. The singles can help album sales if they're gonna to do well ;) For now they're doing great, 1 million in a month, I have nothing to complain me too. If someone say Rihanna again, they deserve BAN .. You can't be the biggest female and selling 3M Albums with your last 2 albums .. And her biggest hit We Found Love is hardly at 9M WW .. I mean Telephone is at 9M, Born This Way is at 9M (8.2 from 2011 alone) .. Rihanna's power has always been so so so overrated ... I mean releasing her album (post We Found Love slayage) on Black Friday and selling 220k or so ? And being her first number 1 and her biggest week ... Rihanna is the most appealing artist for the last 10 years, definitely not the most powerful / the biggest female ... Lady Gaga, Adele and even Beyonce >>> Rihanna and Katy ... Especially Katy.. If she loses the radio support she has literally NOTHING. Rihanna of course is in a better position but still both artists DEPEND on hits ... Aside from wanting it to help DWUW on the charts, I WANNA SEE THE VIDEO ALREADY. But not bad She received awards, has Grammy nominations, was the only female to see the top of the Hot 100 until the second half of the year (give or take I'm not exactly sure) and she received more recognition and less criticism than Gaga. I love Gaga to death but I'll stand by my opinion. It's just an opinion overall anyways. :) EDIT: And she received Billboard's Woman of the Year. yeah.. Nice edit at the end. Of course it's by me. VforVendetta 2,024 Posted December 14, 2013 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Of course not, neither was ARTPOP but when It came out everyone went crazy even Gaga's haters on ATRL and they were saying the album is great ARTPOP vs PRISM thread had 800+ Votes for ARTPOP and 200+ Votes for PRISM and this is from the first week of ARTPOP release. . . now even us, Gaga fans, realize that ARTPOP wasn't that big of a deal ... People are just excited right now that's why they are speaking like that for BEYONCE ... I remember most of Gaga's haters on ATRL were praising ARTPOP and now they are like "0 hits " etc.. Soon everything will be back to usual ... especially If Beyonce stop selling well after the first 2-3 weeks ..Not true though. I am hoping we get a few more weeks of 100k+ sales for ARTPOP, that should catch us up with prism although prism is still selling pretty well.
