Gaga needs to save Gypsy for a summer release, because it's so radio friendly. A plan of action to get a million copies of ARTPOP sold in the US involves a DWUW video by Valentine's, then a very catchy third single release immediately (MANiCURE, anyone?) Then, maybe a fourth single, and then Gypsy as the final single, all with heavy promotion by Gaga. She needs to perform at any award show she can. Gypsy4Life 0 Posted February 3, 2014 Share Posted February 3, 2014 I just noticed a recent trend with Interscope. They have been giving recent releases the complete shaft, but later on they catch on. Born To Die, Halcyon, and Native all started off so weak due to little to no support from the label. Songs from all three not released or cut from radio only to all do extremely well much later on. Maybe it could end up the same for ARTPOP I hope so! So many singles take off late too. Burn and Counting Stars were released as summer songs but weren't big in North America until the winter. The marketing campaign for DWUW is over and the video isn't coming. It's going to get there without that. It's a shame because if it had a video in December it may have been on its way to Gold (400k) in the U.K and perhaps 2x Platinum in the U.S It definitely would've helped her French and German situations too.
