While it would make a great single, there are MANY other options (not including Venus.) What about Sexxx Dreams? Super addictive chorus, original, gaga-esque, and s-xual. Since that and G.U.Y. would be the only logical two choices Sexxx Dreams would be censored. TOTAL overkill of the song, but it'd be a good promo for a commercial (cough cough HAUS) G.U.Y. is the perfect follow up single for Venus, especially during the summer. Think about it. Sonically the two are linked, as well as in terms of the themes. Poker Face was really similar to Just Dance, and both achieved a LOT of success. On top of that, it would leave a perfect gap for the third quarter, where more avante garde tracks can be released. But again, none of this will really matter to other people here since we've all synced up on our tracks and stan for different songs. But before you pick apart my song choices, think: Will the song choice REALLY reflect ARTPOP? Will the songs actually link up to the era? Will the songs flow together? These are all things that need to be thought of. You can't just release singles for the sake of doing it, what would be the point of the album? I'm serious--it wouldn't hurt to have one or two more relatively safe hits before going full out experimental, just to rope the GP in even more instead of possibly alienating them. As much as I absolutely adore Venus are a song and step forward for Gaga's artistry, Gypsy all the way Plus I seriously think Gypsy is a great song and single.
