DWUW era has been a mess apart from the performances which were some of her best ever but even a clear smash such as DWUW failed to do so. Bring on Venus or Gypsy or ARTPOP or hell even Fashion! Mills 446 Posted January 16, 2014 Share Posted January 16, 2014 Releasing the third single at this point, with the majority of the fanbase still eagerly anticipating for the DWUW's MV AND having still no confirmed major promo spot for the first quarter of this year, would be rather aimless. Both Talk Dirty and Happy in the top 10 of iTunes is actually a surprise to me. Never thought they could replicate their success in the UK. And what's more surprising would be the then hotly anticipated collaboration of Rihanna and Shakira already leaving the top 10 despite its release just days ago. If she release it, I doubt it could make the impact which we've all hoped for. If she doesn't, then that would leave the fanbase still heavily dissatisfied. Alienating this fanbase even more before the third single drops is the least thing I'd want since it could arguably only lead to a very rough start. It seems either way, she's not going to please everyone. So, I'd rather pick the less damaging between the two, well at least to me. I mean, we're all waiting for this MV to come up. Mills 446 Posted January 16, 2014 Share Posted January 16, 2014 I can't speak for anyone else but I've come to terms that we might not ever get a DWUW video and I don't mind at all. Personally, I don't know how would I react if there's indeed no MV for DWUW with all the months we've waited (and still waiting). One of the reasons why I became a fan is Gaga's own way of delivering music videos. And a huge part on why she became successful is through her music videos as well. Not releasing a MV for a Gaga single would be like revealing an Apple product without the Apple logo on it. So yeah, I'm still hoping. It's better to be late than never getting it at all.
