I felt half half Not surprised. Many people are misinterpreting her letter. I saw one radio station tweet 'Lady Gaga asks for forgiveness for ARTPOP' I was like ??? Funny how radio stations spread these rumors yet play her music.
Stefani328 321
If Gaga does perform even though she probably won't, she should perform the third single. DWUW would be three months old. On the next one. At this point all I want from this song is the video. Just one video, Gaga.
Arturo 40,746
Speaking of radios, KIIS is playing DWUW 10 times a day. Sort of a B-list I guess considering Power Rotation (A-list) is ~18 times a day. I hope this means DWUW will be back in power on KIIS! I'd be ecstatic. At least DWUW is still gaining daily. It might be #7 on pop too tommorow, I cant remember when was the last time it actually climbed on pop songs/radio songs -_-

bvtches 0
Think about it, why would she continue to do something safe? She should release the DWUW video and continue with her initial decision of Venus as a new single. Dope peaked at #8 due to forced streaming, but do you honestly think that of the current songs on the radio, it'll stand out? To be honest, I agree with the prediction that it would peak at #29, just for the sake of her name. I've been lurking this forum for a while, weeks even, and I figured it'll be fine to post my two cents, since everyone else can. It's a new year, and the songs on the radio have become chewed, spat, regurgitated, and overplayed. The public needs a new song, a new sound, and what better than Venus? If Gaga never takes risks and goes the same route that's safe and formulaic, she'll simply be giving into the public. That's not her image. Due to her love for Venus, can you imagine how amazing the video will be, especially now that she has had so much time to cultivate the ideas, redo the video, and perfect it? This would be something to let her enter the Top 3 on the Social Chart, as well as have an amazing debut amongst the streaming songs list, further propelling her debut on the Hot 100. In addition, she'd have yet ANOTHER #1 on the club/electronic songs chart. Have you seen how popular Wake Me Up got? There is DEFINITELY hope for Venus, as it is something fresh, and definitely a redefined Gaga. Plus, it would motivate people to buy her album since the rest of it actually is fitting. Dope and Gypsy, while cool, seem so misplaced in this album. An upbeat album? Look at why PRISM still continues to sell high, people want to listen to more songs like Roar and Dark Horse, which accurately reflect the album's content. This would give the album push, GP push, as well as push for Gaga to prove the public wrong with HER CREATION. Give Venus a chance as a single, it'll be something that's going to be weird initially, but after a few spins, I'm sure you'll hear yourself singing the hook or humming along to it. Also, G.U.Y. as a fourth and final single for Act I to finalize the strength of Gaga as a figure of female empowerment as well as a summer smash as a definite counter for Blurred Lines (even though I know it wasn't)?? Summer WINNER.
enriquelm 73
I bet that these people saying venus isnt good produced and that it lacks quality would say production is flawless if Gaga said its completey produced by Madeon or Zedd. Song is great and fact that she produced this flawless song herself is amazing. And haters can simply go away while we enjoy in its single era ;) This is so true. I bet you that if Gaga had said that Venus was produced by RedOne everyone would love it :reductive: I love it tho. It's my favorite song off ARTPOP

Summer WINNER. Welcome to Gagadaily, we're happy to have you :) i agree with you I really want Venus to be the next single; its not just the song, its also the way gaga seems genuinely happy when she performs and even mentions it. I think at this point in her career she should do what makes her happy. And i believe that Venus can give that to her. I dont really know how Venus is gonna do chart wise but i know concept wise, a full on Venus era will be out of this world for sure. And besides, Venus is the most forward-thinking, futuristic track on the album; and has the potential to be a huge game changer in the pop music scene if it does become successful; so i want gags to take the risk Venus is my personal favourite off the album too #JusticeForVenus
