she shouldn't tour asia as large as she did last time, it's been merely over 2 years

she wouldn' tour latin america again  :awkney: at least not with this era(besides, she only had mild success 'cuz it was FIRST VISIT)

she wouldn't go to south africa 'cuz to make it profitable you need to do stadiums and i doubt ARTPOP could generate the buzz necessary for it(Success thanks to BIG NAME and First visit)

Oceania(Aus/NZ) :awkney:

she might tour some asian countries tho, but a short tour nothing as deep as BTWB's

Chart success isn't equal to touring success.

She can milk Japan way may than she did last time. There's definitely demand in Asia.

She will still tour Oceania. It won't be as huge as BTWB, but she can still sell out several dates.

The only part I agree with you is Latin America. Artists take long periods of time between their visits of Latin America.

Any idea about how many copies has DWUW sold so far in the US? I read somewhere that Unconditionally by Katy Perry had only sold 350k until last week :(

What's DWUW's chart position with the 3 versions sales combined?

With 2 versions it's #12, probably #11 with clean + Rick Ross.

Both DWUW and Unconditionally are well past 600,000

What is OBAMA

Chart success isn't equal to touring success.

the delusion

mind explaining this

last leg of TMB in the US >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> US leg of TBTWB(had it finished it wouldn't had even come close)

contemporary artists DO NEED charts or BIG promo to help the tours

then it's all about NAMES and Stage Reputation(legends only need these 2 and maybe the last one above)

gaga has got a name and a good stage reputation, but let's not forget that a lil over +5 years ago NOBODY knew her and she hasn't had a real WW hit for about 3 years once the tour KICKS so, that doesn't really help the cause

Married the Night

Chart success isn't equal to touring success.

See Madonna to support this.

gaga is not madonna nor is she U2, Rolling Stones, Roger Waters, etc.

legends that have built reputation over the course of decades can't be compared to a 5 year old act even if this 5 year old act has proven with 2 tour that she is above her generation and maybe even above some generations before

music needs to keep building interest

madonna didn't have 1 big album and then just became a legend nor did the stones, u2, etc...

Madonna hasn't had a top 10 hit in 6 years. Well, besides Give Me All Your Lovin'

gaga is not madonna nor is she U2, Rolling Stones, Roger Waters, etc.

I am just saying, you don't have to chart high to have a successful tour. Not always.

but Madonna has many years of success.

Xtina can't tour anymore since she flopped.

Britney had a tour with 135M+ with Circus (a very successful era) and then with the FF tour she did less than 70M+

But Britney is approaching what, 15 years of success? I don't think it's always the "legendary" status that makes a non-charter a touring artist. Sure, it's part of it. But I also think it has a lot to do with putting on a DAMN good show. All the legends are first and foremost damn good performers. Gaga is also known for putting on a good show. I think Gaga being at the "top" is long gone but I think she will still have a great career. Touring being where her money is. And I am okay with that. She has a 360 deal anyway so that is where she makes her money.

but 15 years in the music industry is amazing.

I do agree with everything else and I think Gaga will do good with her tour because people know that her shows are great. She might not be the top pop girl atm but she's is doing good too (people are interested in her music enough to buy it)

That basically sums up everything.

On a serious note, there's no real link between charts and touring success. Wether that be for better or for worse. Every time that Madonna proves to us she can pull in big numbers without even so much as a Top 10 single, Katy reminds us that seven number ones can't sell out **** on a world-wide tour.

The artRAVE tour is what Gaga will make of it, and for the same reason people came to The Monster Ball, then The Born This Way Ball, she will be able to reel people in for The ARTPOP Ball.
