Streaming is the future of music, Spotify is already very popular in Scandinavia, Holland and is doing quite good in other countries over the whole world. It's profitable, free, and better for the music industry. For Gaga's next album, I'd want her to get a Spotify deal: For the first 10 days before the release of ARTPOP, you'll be able to listen to the album on Spotify. For the first 7 of these days you'll need a premium account to listen to ARTPOP. The other 3 days you'll be able to listen to it without a premium account. This will make Spotify much much more popular, especially in Latin America and East-Asia. To make it all a bit more attractive for the fans, you'll be able to choose the second single from the album for the first 7 days if you've listened to the album 10 times. This way fans will go crazy for Spotify and haters won't be able to vote - because they'll need to listen to the album 10 times. Since it'd be Spotify-only for the first 10 days and since this will make Spotify immensely popular in some parts of the world, hell this could even be the push Spotify needs in various countries. Because of Gaga helping Spotify this much, they could advertise the hell out of the album for some time and perhaps even inflate Gaga's streams for her Billboard position (similar to Beyonce's iTunes exclusive with banners all over iTunes, but then with Spotify).
