Today they've played Applause 5 times and DWUW twice so far, which indicates that Applause is on PR and not DWUW. I'm hoping it's just because of year-end countdowns... WELP IT WILL BE SUCH A LUCK If It ends up being as big as Applause.. And I am talkin about how the songs won't smash, I am not talkin about how the songs are bad, because they are not 2. The video is done and you know it. . . she said 2 weeks ago that It's almost done .. OBVIOUSLY Interscope are not releasing it and yea month ago I'd say "Guys, Interscope know what they're doing" But I am not that delusional to think that they know what they are doing, when they wasted 3 promo spots on that song 1 remix already and Christmas is coming and still no video .. They did not get advantage of the holiday sales with ARTPOP because as It was reported, they didn't believe in the album and didn't PROMOTE it as It should have been promoted. And now they are not taking advantage of the huge digital sales post Christmas and New Year. . . Katy will probably sell 100k with Roar and 400k with DH without even being official 3rd single, while Gags will sell 200k combined with all her songs from ARTPOP Including the singles .. 3. And she worked 2 years on ARTPOP that's the problem, that's why MJH sounds like Bloody Mary and Gypsy sounds like MTN/TEOG and Hair .. they waited too long to release this album ... She's working on some songs since 2011, how IN HELL is she expecting the album to sound FRESH ? She was even going to reveal song titles in Summer 2011 on Jonathan Ross show but she didn't because He didn't put off his shirt .. I mean..... yea work on album in 2011 and release it in 2013 .. EVERYTHING IS A MESS, I AM ALSO A MESS, so I apologize for my meltdowns today, I am just having a bad day in general :emo: 1. I thought that DWUW was overhyped; I had a huge meltdown when DWUW became a single instead of Venus but after that decided to be positive and support DWUW. I didn't expect DWUW to slay at all, hell, I even made threads like these (link) back when DWUW's chartrun still seemed very promising. You also said that the ARTPOP album was mediocre/bad, which I consider the same as saying that the songs are bad. 2. The promotion is Gaga's fault as much as Interscope's. But what can you expect when she fires the manager a few days before the album release, 7 months after Gaga broke her hip? Promotion in the form of performances barely do something anyways, although the The Voice DWUW performance helped her a lot. The only thing messy about the DWUW promotion, next to the video of course, is that they didn't rehearse for the first few DWUW performances. Wouldn't surprise me if Katy outsold Gaga, and her album will win from Gaga's album too if Gaga doesn't milk the era. But does that matter? Even if Gaga wins from Katy, the media will still act like Katy and Miley won even if Gaga's outsold them two times. 3. When Gaga makes songs she's not making what's popular right now, but she's either making songs that she thinks will be trendy at that moment or trendsetters - Aura, Just Dance, Bad Romance - or she makes songs that will always be trendy - TeoG, Yoü and I, DOPE. And albums are supposed to be a big piece of work. Things don't go automatically with pop albums, look at albums that took 2 months like PRISM, and then look at albums that took a lot more time, like ARTPOP. Oh wait you're being sarcastic. In that case, you're being extremely stupid milking an era can be done easily with ARTPOP because there are loads of single-worthy songs on the album - DWUW, Applause, ARTPOP, Venus, Gypsy, GUY, Sexxx Dreams, MANiCURE - and Gaga has the radio support back she lacked during the BTW era. Every single era can easily take 3 or 4 months now, and 2 mediocre hits (3,5-5M WW in the end) are as good for pushing album sales as 1 smash hit (7M+ WW). It's only going to be embarassing if she releases Volume II without having at least 5 singles in my opinion, especially if she wants this era to last 2 years. No really, ARTPOP has so much potential. Imagine: August - October: Applause - mediocre hit: 4M WW in the end November - January: DWUW - mediocre hit: 3M WW in the end February - May: Gypsy - hit: 6M WW in the end June - August: GUY - mediocre hit: 4M WW in the end September - December: ARTPOP - smash hit: 8M WW in the end January - March: Venus - case 1: flop: 1M WW in the end case 2: smash hit: 8M WW in the end Total single sales: 25~32M singles sold, 7M albums sold. And that's if Interscope handles the singles and if Gaga has enough good promotion for every single. Because a singer hasn't released a video for a song yet? Because we predict how Gaga's career is ending when we couldn't even predict if DWUW will do well?(it will in the end though). Because someone else is selling more than Gaga? Like Gaga has anything to prove to anyone. It is ridiculous because I remember 9 months ago when Beyonce "wasted" her Superbowl and Grammy performamces for nothing. All experts in here were mocking her and said that she is over. I remember Americano said that her fans should jump ship, the irony. Now everyone kisses her ass. All these are ridiculous. As Gaga would say herself, I think you should all shut up and sit down. From the GP from the other stan bases from the Media ... It's always been like that, If people notice that Gaga is weak even for a minute, they will take advantage of it ... Look how everyone loves her when she is on TOP and everyone hates her when she is not.. and It's not with everyone like that .. No one gives 2 ****s about Britney/Christina etc.. flopping .. But Lady Gaga is just so hated that this is like such an EVENT and everyone is having a party on Gaga's back... The same goes for Bieber ... How is Gaga even going to recover, when people just hate her and want her down ? I Seriously think they should scrap ACT 2... like seriously .. It's like Madonna re releasing Erotica ..
