SNL is promo, Appearences and Performances on TV are PROMO ... Of course she did not sell this on her name alone and It was a smart strategy but FACT is that Gaga did a lot of promo for ARTPOP and Katy did even 10 times more promo for PRISM and BEYONCE is outselling them with 0 promo..
