Mills 446 Posted December 8, 2013 Share Posted December 8, 2013 Just a general question since I haven't payed attention as much for DWYW compared to applause but do you guys think DWYW will grow enough to make it to billboards top 10? I mean it's been out for awhile which makes me nervous but then I see unconditionally is still out of iTunes top 10 too and I feel better haha. The music video could make a huge difference. One thing we have on our side this time is decent radio support by the time the video is out. When the Applause vid was released it had like 40M A.I on radio or something. I'm assuming about a month ago (or way earlier than that, perhaps even as early as October) already since I didn't notice any banner by the time Rihanna's WN was released, which was three weeks ago. Yeah, it is. I just initially thought that the original one would have raked more views than what it actually has - with the belief that both versions overshadowed everything else during its release week, including Unconditionally. Pure Adrenaline 1,518 Posted December 8, 2013 Share Posted December 8, 2013 So Katherin missed the top 10 with Uncle and broke her top 10 streak now she's jumping to LL it's the only song I like from the album apart from DH so it should do well and this really is turning to be Katy's BTW era (can't wait for her MTN tbh ). and Back in Dec everyone on here was "OMG KATY WILL SLAY US WITH THIS BALLAD OUR FAVES ARE NOT READY THIS WILL SLAY SOOO HARD" I knew that the song wouldn't go anywhere cuzit's the only true ballad that she released after the one that flopped in her first album and the GP isn't here for serious and emotion Kett + that video was boring as **** and did nothing to the song. Now 2 years ago Gaga was know for her controversial videos. Music videos like Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Telephone, Alejandro established her as a true icon but since that it looks like Gaga lost her touch a little. I just really hope that the delay for the DWUW video is due to really perfecting it this time like those few videos above. Because videos she gave us for the past couple of years were everything but not 'perfect' and she likes to call herself 'perfectionist'. Since she hired Terry to direct it and we all know what success was WB video (even if maybe the major success was the fact that the former disney star know as Hanna Montanna stripped naked in it) but still the video was under Terry's guidance. But I'm still putting my money on the video I remember how I made a thread about whether DWUW would outsell Judas and you and Magoo replied things such as "with ease", "you're causing unnecessary panic".
