VforVendetta 2,024
Katy... always the nominee, never the winner Let's hope it stays like that not due to hate but because, let's face it, neither her music nor her performances deserve it. I definitely agree!
Mariano 958
I hope that you mean in chart performance and not as a song because if you mean that BL and Roar or even JGMAR are better songs than Applause you better run! JGMAR is light years better than Applause, Royals too, Roar is not of course, Blurred Lines IS better ... I love Applause but I am trying to look at the songs objectively and I am not being delusional ... ALTHOUGH I believe that If Applause was a smash like Roar It could've been nominated, but It's not, because It's not smash worthy obviously .. ALTHOUGH I believe that If Applause was a smash like Roar It could've been nominated, but It's not, because It's not smash worthy obviously .. JGMAR is one of the worst P!nk songs, it's boring and generic, I don't even know hw this song beame so famous when P!nk has had songs like U & Ur Hand, God is a Dj, Sober, Fun House, Try, etc that were paid dust. Royals is bad in my opinion and the fact that it's alternative doesn't make it good. I can accept that it is a worthy song because my maybe it's just a matter of taste. As for BL I honestly can't believe that you are putting it and Applause in the same sentence. It's a complete disgrace for music, it's the prove that music industry is crumblimg, it's in the Stupid Hoe league. I can't honestly believe that you mean that. Applause has theatrical unique vocals, amazing qnique lyrics, an amazing video and amazing performances. I still believe that you are joking... Firstly you cannot compare Applause to any of these songs, secondly Applause is probably in the top 5 of the best songs on the album and actually in her whole career. Jjang 2,262
well the GP and I don't think so :) as well as the Grammys ! *Because clearly the GP are the ones who determine a song's quality, Applause sold 2 million copies in the US and reach 130m+ AI, you're acting as if its a flop *The grammys are just popularity competition right now, they lost their credibility a long long time ago...hence why I never brag about Gaga's grammys. VforVendetta 2,024
well the GP and I don't think so :) as well as the Grammys ! The Grammy's haven't given Queen, one of the biggest rock bands of all time a single award and they have given Rihanna seven so don't make them seem like Gods. And the GP doesn't have a taste, they have trends. You know very well that the songs that become the most famous aren't the best most of the time. Just Dance is Lady Gaga's second most successful single and one of the most successful singles ever and it can't hold a candle to Gaga's rest discography and even to songs from other artists... Mariano 958
Guys you are biased as ****. . . Calling JGMAR generic, and then saying Applause is top 5 Gaga's songs is an Insult to both JGMAR and Gaga because Applause is probably 10 times more generic than JGMAR .. Blurred Lines is an amazing song, and If it was 2M in the USA yall would've been saying It's a great and underrated song but now because It was such a smash, It's awful ? Why ? Can you please explain me what is it in the song that makes it bad ? Blurred lines is 10 times more innovative and fresh than Applause, the same goes for Royals ... And I can't at the comment "just because It's alternative" you know that Royals is not the only alternative song released this year ? But It smashed because It's a great song ... And If the GP and the Grammys are not Indicator of a song's quality, why do you think that you are ?

When Just Dance became successful It was FRESH and Innovative and even risky, just because now It sounds generic doesn't mean It was generic back in 2009 .... And the Irony From all Gaga songs in all 3 albums Applause is the most Inspired by Just Dance
Mills 446
Musical preferences are always subjective, hence the word "preference". What others see as masterpiece, some may regard it as ordinary. There would never be a definitive music which is better than the others for everyone to agree. It's a never-ending argument.

I agree and my point was that I like Applause more than Royals, Roar, BL etc... I just tried to look at the song objectively and see what song is different from others and what song has dated production etc.. and clearly you may love Applause but you can't say that It's fresh or something because the production is dated as **** and you can't say that Just Dance is one of Gaga's worst songs and say Applause is one of her best when Applause is inspired by Just Dance OBVIOUSLY...
