_Lam 597
Will DH still smash after months and months of sale. It's impact will be deluded by that ?
Bt1 5,213
Of course but I mean why not to play it? Lets be real, this is the freeze. Its just that the airplay powerhouses survive it for more than songs that grow in airplay like DWYW. Lets hope that after DWYW becoming a hit while Unconditionaly flops the tables will turn once again... Timber, Burn and White walls still manage to grow. My guess is Jingle Ball. Maybe they played more the artists there. The freeze isnt there yet. I only saw them once playing Mariah song. Now I cant verify their playlist, but I look at it yesterday and I didnt saw Christmas songs. Katy is most likely performing Dark Horse at the Brit's and cockblock Gypsy ar whatever the next single is going to be Gaga will probably also perform there. It will be perfect time to announce the UK dates also.
_Lam 597
TBH it is interesting to see that DWUW will have 2 major promo schedule. Imagine the longevity this song can have if it goes through the freeze ! Love that plan, we have 2 strong weapon : the video and the remix + 60m AI ! Pretty impressive. Gypsy Life 118,907
Katy is most likely performing Dark Horse at the Brit's and cockblock Gypsy ar whatever the next single is going to be DH will be local. It's already done in Australia and NZ (already smashed there before being a single) and is only charting in the US and Canada. Gypsy has a more worldwide appeal. I really believe Gypsy is sort of the only song from ARTPOP that could properly chart in the Netherlands for example, so I kinda agree with you. Generally the absence of DWYW and other promising songs on radio now isn't worrying at all because their playlists now are very unusual because of the Christmas. The question if if these song will manage to rebounf with the new year...

Mills 446
Blocking a song (or songs) from the top spot would only imply a very lengthy run at the top for the other song. Roar, despite all the hype and strong sales (and massive radio support) has only managed to stay at #1 for two weeks. I doubt Dark Horse would be that kind of single that could block a lot of other worthy singles for that #1. It might be somebody else whom we've not heard yet (similar to 2011 with Adele, 2012 with Carly / Gotye, and 2013 with Lorde / Macklemore).

WarriorPrince 1
Do album sales go up like black friday during christmas? Black Friday and Christmas might be our only hope for ARTPOP to reach platinum in the US

Unconditionally will have just flopped / underperformed when Dark Horse will be already gaining and becoming a smash .... 33. ARTPOP Where are all the monsters that made fun of MDNA's sales? well believe me If Gaga performed at SuperBowl she would've debuted with more than 500k ... But yes definitely I never expected these low album sales ...
Bt1 5,213
If Gaga waits until January she will compete with Adore you and Dark horse, not to mention The monster will still be there at no 1.
