DMTT 160
I think Never Let Me Go is the best song on the album. I never got why people thought Only If For A Night was so amazing. It's really good - but I guess I always over look it. I always thought Breaking Down would be the next single. It seems a lot of people liked it. NLMG = SIO > spectrum >>>> everything else imo but honestly, the entire record is spot on. best of 2011, imo. it really is a gigantic album. i seriously don't understand when people say they don't like it O.o

But I know a lot of people really like it. I had a long time where I didn't really listen to Shake It Out. But then I listened to it in my car a few weeks ago and I feel in love again, lol. It's amazing. I think maybe people just don't prefer it over Lungs? I personally like Lungs better. But they're both amazing albums.
AyaKara 2,281
Only If For a Night is the best song on the album, in my opinion.
Biophiliac 7
Kinda disappointed on Ceremonials on the first listen. Lungs is A LOT better imo. Maybe on the second listen I'll like it more than it, but I don't think so. About Landscape. It says it's a demo, then what's the final version?

I don't think it really matters. Landscape sounds like a final version. It's amazing - should have been on the album.

Which doesn't really makes sense cause if it makes the cut to the album them it's not really the demo but the final version itself. Inception. :sam:

DMTT 160
really hope some b-sides or outtakes or unreleased tracks from ceremonials surface. the entire album is amazing, so i'd love to hear what else they had. like lungs had 21 (including covers) songs, i'm sure there are more for ceremonials. By 21 you're considering Bird Song Intro and Bird Song as only one right? Cause I have 22. Anyway, Ceremonials is A LOT better on the second listen. I don't think I have a favourite album, would have to listen to them both more, they're both amazing. My favourite on Lungs is definately Howl, on Ceremonials is probably Spectrum, but all the songs are pretty close to each other.

Ellie Goulding 8
Why does she talk about the ocean in NLMG? Is she saying she'd rather die/drown than live without the guy? I'm doing a soundtrack project for Katniss & Peeta, and I have to connect the lyrics to them, but I don't understand what she's trying to get across using the ocean metaphors and stuff.. especially in the beginning- Looking out from underneath, Fractured moonlight on the sea Reflections still look the same to me, As before I went under. Help preez Personally, I interpret the emotions-as-oceans metaphor as being overwhelming and can potentially 'drown' you because you are so caught up in these powerful emotions. Edit: Does that make sense? Lol it doesn't really make much sense even to me  Edited January 30, 2012 by mcwf
