I remember thinking months ago that ARTPOP will be Gaga's comeback era etc..  oh well '-'  Maybe the next era :(

 

This era is more like Madonna's Bedtime Stories era - moderately successful in the aftermath of Erotica (although it included Madonna's longest #1 single), toning down her image to please the public, but lashing out at her critics with songs like Survival and Human Nature. She even went the R&B route, which is what Gaga is doing with her current single. Madonna's next era was Ray of Light so... *crosses fingers*

if it doesn't after that kind of major exposure then i doubt it ever will, it's weird tho, because this song is like built to be a hit, if gaga can't get a hit out of this song then i wonder what can she get a hit out of ?

Basically the only pop girl releases this year have been from Gaga, Katy and Miley - right? I wouldn't call this year lacklustre in sales. They just all released in Q4, known for low sales.

Also I'm feeling a little bit worried about DWUW (and Unconditionally for that matter).

 

I understand they're both second singles but they were both prior to the album - can you imagine how long it'll take for their next singles to take off? If it's going to happen, Do What U Want will have to happen sooner or later. I feel like with all this waiting it's more likely to happen with a fizzle than a bang.
