But like it's embarrassing for people to say "who cares about a story it's just pop music". Like people wonder why critics look down at pop music. It's because it's become such an embarrassing genre. Be lucky there are people like gaga who actually want to redeem the pitiful genre. This has nothing to do with being "bad" it has to do With being shallow for no ****ing reason. It's shallow and meaningless, there are some people who want that kind of music, and other that want substance. Personally speaking, I hate pop music (a part from Gaga of course), and I don't like Just Dance or Telephone either. I mean, they're fun songs, but I prefer MTN or Dope or other kind of songs. How dare I, the consumer, expect substance in what I listen to. Pop music doesn't have to be shallow. It's a shame that a certain fan here wishes for a lack of substance. the only relevant gaga videos are the "shallow" one. so yeah, it's not bjork daily. We just want the best for her. She doesn't have to do that with every video and shouldn't You're putting words into Katy Perry's critics mouths. Who said that she should make a 20 minute documentary?? All we said is that the video has no plot, no substance. It's just visuals. And a lot of us have praised it for the visuals. But can't find anything else to praise about it. Gaga's the fame and the fame monster singles were different from other songs on the radio, while there are 2 Braves (one Is Katy's Roar) etc.. she Is more generic than Gaga has ever been but I agree It's not like Katy Is having all this success for nothing .. The Unconditionally video is about the power of love. It's simple, but just because there's no vivid storyline to it doesn't mean that it's not art or has no substance. If this were Gaga, everyone would be pointing out every obscure shot of owls and car crashes to prove its merit, but it's only a problem because it's Katy. Telephone is provocative innovative s-xxy while Unconditionally is just boring even if it everything looks beautiful. There isnt an idea behind it.its the first bad video from katty and we should see this. Dont conpare it even with Wide awKe who had a really strong message and had a story to look at. I feel the same as I did when I saw he trailer "ooh she looks pretty" but that's it. I really did think I would like it but it was meh and seemed like a big waste of money and special effects tbh. I did like the bit with the flowers behind her and the part with the owl coz I love owls. But seriously I won't be watching it again coz it's dull.
