Adakam 2
If you come out against photo retouching, do you put even more pressure on female models and celebs to be perfect, young, and thin? interesting, no retouching makes models need photoshop-like perfection hmmm yeah I get your point, the retouching isnt the thing that needs to be attacked, the need for perfection is the problem "beauty is a lie"
Woolfsmck 2,763
interesting, no retouching makes models need photoshop-like perfection hmmm yeah I get your point, the retouching isnt the thing that needs to be attacked, the need for perfection is the problem "beauty is a lie" I think most people view retouched photos and assume they are the real deal. This causes a false perspective of females appearance. Men are attracted to model type women who don't exist. Young females aspire to look like someone artificially created. I think Gaga, and others women in the entertainment industry are trying to point out the problem its creating. If magazine customers and anyone who views or reads the material in them know that the photo's are fabrications, it removes the 'reality' and brings the perspective back. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

dancesinthedark 6
There's a difference between getting rid of gash marks and making someone look totally different. She also approves her promotional photos that are retouched before they go out. She doesn't always see the photoshopping of the magazine covers before hand to make sure it's still realistic. But keep on calling her a hypocrite guys. I think a lot of people are missing the point of what she meant and why she said it at this event in particular. Is there a video of this btw?
