Her voice has changed. She is trying to make it deeper or something and it is not coming off natural like it used to. Don't get me wrong, she is a great vocalist, but the deep stuff sounds bad. Like the notes in Dope Youtube performance. Compare that to acoustic Mary the Night or Edge of Glory Performances... Why is she changing her vocal style?

I think some parts were messy because she was a little bit drunk

I was thinking this too, hah. But otherwise I loved her performances. She just seems so happy and proud and we should all be too.

Her stage presence during DWYW is insane. Maybe it's because she's a bajillion feet tall with the outfit, but still. Very domineering, me encanta.

I liked the Venus performance, except for the guitar part (awkward). I wasn't a huge fan of DWUW. That song and its performances just don't click with me.

I love how she handles the stage in DWUW.

And of course, the second verse. Now we know where those lyrics came from. :)

I believe that the reason she has little props is to reference what the song is about. She is just giving the audience her body, in a physical sense. The heart and mind aspect is still there, of course, but it isn't translated physically through visuals or backgrounds.

What is that choreography for Venus when the verses start? She's just waving her arms like someone in a trance

Vocally, great performance for both songs. Love the outfit during DWUW, rad!

I love how the song Venus comes to life on stage. All the vocal layers done in studio serve her very well in live performances as she can decide if she wants to harmonize (see 'I can't help the way I'm feeling on the second verse') or sing the song a couple of notes higher than normal (second chorus).

Plus, she manages quite well going from a speaking tone to a very operatic-ish tone during the bridge (pluto - venus). It flows perfectly (As comparison, in the studio version, the operatic lines are superposed unto the main vocal take). Vocals are on point for sure. Plus, the dancing was very fitting. Alienesque, trancy-ish

I just love seeing her having fun!

DWUW isn't as good however. There's too much growling and screaming going on. But I do get it's part of the performance and the message itself, so it equates!

I really liked the Venus performance. Kinda "1960s hippie" vibe.

I thought vocally DWYW could have been a little better. But still pretty cool.

It's funny because no matter what Gaga does, she will never please everybody. She used to get criticized for having big stage sets and theatrics to make up for a lack of talent. Now that her performances lately have been stripped down to showcase her voice, people say that she's lost her stage presence.

She really did well. Both had their pros and cons, but neither would I say were anything below my expectations for her. Good work Gaga.
