BTW did her a gay icon, that's too bad because for people being a Little Monster = being gay. Which is not reality...

I'm a big fan of Lady Gaga (since day 1) and I'm straight...

The main part of gay fans loved her music since BTW era, but at the very start (TF &TFM) she was not a gay icon

Just A Holy Fool

She is a gay icon, but she is right, she never directly labeled herself that....

even though she panders to the gay community left and right, but that's because she loves us so much. I never really have felt she has used us.

She never said she was (although it's clear that she is) and it's interesting how many haters actually pretend that she did and that she credits herself with being Queen Gay. She's always claimed that she was simply a voice amongst many. When a radio DJ thanked her for her support of the gay community, she even stopped him to say that progress was the work of the whole community.

Metaphorically speaking, Born This Way was her 'gay icon' album. Even if she doesn't explicitly say so, she's a big icon for the gays.

Very weird. How is she not an iconic figure for the gay community? It's not something she decides, it's something that is measured by her influence.

Why are y'all defending this so passionately? It's such a weird comment
