But the only worry I've here is on how the media would likely spin this story to recreate the supposed rivalry and sell papers. Oh well. MTE. I don't see it as shady or b---hy at all. She's addressing a topic she knows will get media attention but didn't say anything rude or bad about Madonna. I think that was a smart and classy approach (although a part of me just wishes she would move on and not comment). But calling herself a "punk-rocker from New York"?? Not even close. She's not completely wrong in her statement when she refers to herself as such. Just because she makes pop music doesn't mean she can't view herself like that.
