Oh, well she'll need loads of promo and she'll need to keep selling over 130k a week for 50 weeks. I doubt it will even reach 150k WW next week. She'll need a re-release to outsell BTW for sure. But comparing BTW to ARTPOP isn't a good comparision, as we've seen, the pop girls are much less album sellers now and the market has, yet again, decreased. The artrave wasn't the kind of promo to reach millions (or even tens of thousands) of potential buyers. The youtube music awards was a huge flop of a show for everyone that was involved. Typical radio promo is just that, typical. All the major names do it. Gaga's promo, thus far, in no way, compares to the massive promo Katy had before Prism. Gaga's buzz and promo is nothing compared to Miley's before she dropped Bangerz. Even with all that, Gaga is still within the range of the two most hyped, heavily promoted pop girls that released albums during the same time period. It's not logical to look at their numbers as AMAZING 11!!!, but then to turn around and look at Gaga's numbers as floppy and the end of the world. No no no I think you're letting what you enjoy the most influence your choice. Gypsy will slay. It has hit written all over it even more than DWUW has. Gypsy Is the Smash version of MTN + Hair combined And as yall saw It was the highest charting track on Itunes + It received the most airplay from all the songs on the album (besides the singles) so ... I feel the same, the song is great and I wouldn't mind it as a single, but it just doesn't have that catchy thing like GUY or MANiCURE for example and I felt the same about MTN. I hope I'm wrong tho.
