Celina 118
And you must be joking by implying that you're ok with being constantly lied to by a person whom you admire and a person says that loves you in the whole world. I wouldn't be okay with constantly being lied to... But saying she constantly lies is an exaggeration... In this particular case, it seems pretty clear that she lied because she was trying to keep people from seeing through the cracks in what she wanted to make perfect, and I can forgive her for that. It doesn't justify lying, but I don't find it worth getting hung up over since her intentions weren't necessarily bad, and since she's done plenty to prove that she means what she says about the fans. The intentions behind bad things are not always bad. It dones't justifies her behaviour at all. My point is that she was bragging about how happy she was instead of just saying that she's fine, she didn't have to get into it as deep and focus on the music instead maybe? But no, gaga chooses to expose another one of her lies, since she went as far as saying that she was miserable and in a really bad place while promoting BTW, which was the exact opposite of what she was preaching during that era. jsn 1,648
I think she was okay with/during Applause. Then on Twitter when she said it was her decision to change the single to Do What U Want she could have been lying about that and that's when she started becoming unhappy. That would explain why she's resided mostly on littlemonsters with a several month old single that still doesn't have a music video and going back into Venus mode with everything. Because she didn't want it to change.

Mills 446
Well, the always comment was more of an exaggeration from my part. It was a way for me to say how Gaga, most of the time, is trying out different things than whatever everyone else is doing. Also, You and I is not really a ballad, it more of a straight out country rock song. And even if you still think is a ballad, the song still sounds different compared to whatever Adele was doing at the time. Finally, I understand that following trends are good opportunities to succeed, at least commercially. But I feel like Gaga is not that type of artist. Commercial success doesn't necessarily gives you longevity and or a legendary status. Fair enough. It was an observation I've read all over the Billboard.com comment section back when I was an active member on that site. And I did agree with them. It's not exactly the type of song Adele has released at that time, but compared to all the tracks on BTW which they could have released, it sounds the closest to what was selling like hot cakes. Even Katy Perry followed the trend with TOTGA's release. Regarding the relation of commercial success with longevity and public acclaim, I think I've to disagree with you yet again. Wouldn't a success commercially open everything? All of these artists who are regarded as legends or icons experienced an amount, err a huge amount, of commercial success which eventually lead them to have longevity and the A-list status within the music industry. And that includes Gaga. I mean, she's Gaga whom we all know right now because of the string of number one hits from her first two major releases. ARTPOP is still selling these days widely because of the Gaga brand alone, which would imply that she's still heavily dependent to the massive commercial success she had years ago. And for an artist to pull such longevity, I believe sustaining even an ounce of commercial success now and then is strongly needed.
Versace 7,979
Gaga was trying to create in fancy words let us say a colorful BTW 2.0 (lack of maturity) Era but interscope wants her to do another The Fame Like album so instead we got a Bionic 2.0 Era cause its like a tug of war between her and interscope right now!! EastonEllis 1
You sound like you're tring to justify the act of lying and telling me it's not a bad thing, depending on how we look at it. Taking stuff with a grain of salt, why should I do that? I've been doing that for years with gaga now and I've had enough, I have no idea who the true Gaga is now. No I'm not justifying anything :) dont get me wrong I hate lying too. I just think that we need to separate what she says for marketing/promotion purposes and what she says in a more genuine, real way with us fans. As for knowing 'who the true Gage is', I suppose I understand what you're saying, but is it really necessary? You can find more clues in her music and art than you'll ever find in interviews. Just enjoy the ride?

Mr Josh 3
Of course she has to lie about some things. What did you expect her for example to say about the VMA performance? "I was not ready and still in pain but ****ing management forced me to do it"?
RAMROD 109,837
I think she have comfortable deal with Interscope. She can keep part of her artistry and Interscope, as always, can sell whatever merchandise regarding "Lady Gaga" product. This one thing was the thing that made Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson bailed from the label, because they don't appreciate their name hijacked that way. More and more bands have left out Interscope for the same reason, including Blink 182. As ever, Interscope is one of the most sell out label ever. Hence I think Gaga have some agreement with the label. Besides, you don't mess with Papa Joe. Remember, he was the guy who twist Rob Fusari's arm into signing her and write her hits. As told on Rivington Was Ours. More on NIN & Manson: NIN on Interscope : By the early aughts, Reznor had grown frustrated with the way Nine Inch Nails records were being released and promoted by his label, Interscope Records. “The Internet has decimated their business, and they still don’t know how instant messaging works,†he told. He was also depressed by the pressure from the label’s head, Jimmy Iovine, to make his records more “urban.†As Reznor saw it, “This is simply, How do we smooth off all the rough edges and make you just like what’s selling now?†Iovine commissioned a number of hip-hop remixes of Nine Inch Nails songs, all of which Reznor rejected, and Reznor soon ended the relationship. “You know what, Jimmy? **** you. Take that beat and shove it up Timbaland’s ass.†Manson on Interscope during Born Villain interview: "They don’t care about music. They never did. I mean, Jimmy Iovine used to, when he produced records a long time ago, They care about Vitamin Water… And when you’ve got so much money, it’s just about ego. I don’t really care what their problem is. I was just happy to get out of there. And I have to be objective. I don’t take it personally. I don’t regret the records I made  I regret the way they treated them. I think I made great records, and they tried to dilute the very essence of what they signed me for. “Don’t be so offensive† what the **** does that mean? “Don’t be what we signed you for. Don’t be what you are.â€" (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ hating pop music doesn't make you deep (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
