Daredevil 2,133
Every big hit by Gaga was weird and controversial (Bad Romance, BTW even Poker Face was "weird" when it was released) . I don't see any problems in Venus
GypsyPrince 237
As a whole, the album is her best to date. My favourite song also happens to be from ARTPOP. I'm not disappointed with the album in the least bit.
Brown Eyes 0
I still really don't quite get why Gaga chose Alejandro over DITD. I guess she just wanted to do something unexpected instead of what everyone was ultimately going for. Dance in the Dark, regardless of whether it became a single, is still one of her most iconic songs and would've been an absolute smash if you ask me. But I guess it'll just remain as a fan favorite and a great album track. Alejandro was the far better choice. However DITD should've been a single right after it

mic 1,415
How is Alejandro a flop is one of her most known and I'm pretty sure it was number 1 for several weeks #5 peak
tristessa 0
Alejandro was the far better choice. However DITD should've been a single right after it How though - in its (DITD's) stead or just in general? If the latter, I don't personally get this, for me it has nothing to do with being a fan favorite, in my opinion - obviously not a fact - DITD is an obvious standout track with an instantly catchy and strong chorus that in my opinion is just as good if not better than Alejandro's, perhaps even more memorable? Alejandro, while I very much like the song, came off way more like an album track, to me anyway, and it was the video that gave it the extra "oomph" aesthetically. Just my opinion. I suppose both would've been nice though.

Alejandro, while I very much like the song, came off more like an album track, to me anyway, and it was the video that gave it the extra "oomph" aesthetically, really. Just my opinion. I suppose both would've been nice though. Alejandro had hit written all over it the moment the demo leaked. It's just a very good and pleasant and super catchy song that anyone can very easily sing along to, and it being a midtempo was a nice change of pace for her. It's one of her biggest hits outside of English-speaking countries too. I think she got it right for once. TFM should've gotten at least two more singles tho
Wixson 5,004
Beautiful, Dirty, Rich was supposed to be the second single but it had flopped miserably so they released Poker Face instead/switched it to a promo single a few days later. Did you guys forget about this mess? I was like... 12 when it happened and I remember. :smh:

It's just a very pleasant and super catchy song that anyone can very easily sing along to, and it being a midtempo was a nice change of pace for her. Outside of English speaking countries, it's up there with Bad Romance and Poker Face as one of her biggest hits. So you're talking in its place, got it - I never really followed its worldwide success and I definitely see what you mean about it being a change of pace - hadn't thought of that - but I also agree DITD could've worked as the fourth. The thing is, we have the receipts for Alejandro, so we know how it worked out. In my opinion, DITD would've been a hit. :)

I suppose both would've been nice though. Sorry but Alejandro is her biggest it in a lot of Non-English speaking countries so I think it was a much better decision than Dance In The Dark, although I think it would have been a great fourth single (and Monster fifth). Beautiful, Dirty, Rich was supposed to be the second single but it had flopped miserably so they released Poker Face instead/switched it to a promo single a few days later. Did you guys forget about this mess? I was like... 12 when it happened and I remember. I wasn't a fan then but I remember reading Beautiful was planned as 2nd single. carrot stick 0
Alejandro, Scheiße and Judas are all dark and too edgy for Top 40 radio. They are okay for clubs and dance tracks but they should never be singles. I think Boys Boys Boys would have done well, but some of that simply due to the fact she was unstoppable at that time. GypsyPrince 237
Alejandro video wasn't her first flop, Eh Eh was. Besides, it's almost 200m views which is more than many of her other videos, plus there was so much media talk surrounding the video. Define flop tho.
