MikeyMoonShine 0
psh u don't deserve the r kelly blessing on dwuw not arguing with you anymore ignorance is the finest I don't care about his past, I like his music Its like not liking adele cause she's fat Were we arguing before? I am just gonna hope this does not end up reflecting on Gaga to badly. This is my main concern what with R Kelly and Terry involved with this it's all looking rather dodgy and she already has enough problems.
Anderson123 38,182
You should also do one of these threads for TI, Too Short and Twista because, according to GagaDaily members, these are "Flop Rappers" and Nicki Minaj and Azealia Banks would be better choices. Stefani328 321
Of course, give him credit. But you can't suggest that everyone support him. Chris Brown is talented, but he deserves every nasty comment he gets. R. Kelly did this to himself. To talk about his talent is to talk about his legacy, which unfortunately involves his legal issues. To pretend they don't exist is ignorant and a slap in the face to the victims. Who said anything about pretending they don't exist, they will always be there and follow him, but I hate when people act like that's the only thing has done. His career shouldn't just be based around that. I think with the older generations his music was appreciated more because they were around to hear it. I first heard R.Kelly on the radio around 10. The people on here are way too young to be aware of his songs so the first thing they say when someone mentions his music or him, is he pissed on someone because they are old enough to be aware of shows like South Park and The Boondocks making fun of it. MikeyMoonShine 0
What makes him creepy - to me - is that he brings his exploits almost literally into his art. He boasts and brags and thus, to me, makes it virtually impossible now to separate him, the person, from his music - and because as a person he creeps me out, I am less likely to ever again enjoy his music. I believe this is not just something unique to me, either. The recent Village Voice expose which made waves was incredibly widely shared. He had to comment on it, but it wasn't much, more like: Eh, haters gonna hate cuz I'm famous Tbf I liked his contribution to DWUW but I just don't think it should have happened. He's bad news and I dunno what Gaga was thinking, tbh.
Stefani328 321
Why are people on here even arguing? If someone has already made up their mind about how they feel about a person, arguing isn't going to change it. You have your opinion and they have theirs. It was all about how everyone who has a problem with R Kelly is apparently just ignorant to how amazing he is and we should all be educated. we were just pointing out other reasons why he ain't so popular in the fanbase. craig 680
I'll say this, he's no worse than a lot of of the hip-hip stars back then who boosted about being criminals and gangstras and had misogynistic lyrics.
MikeyMoonShine 0
musics for the ears, not the eyes. That is all I'm trying to bring up Well I think he is talented but are you saying you have never faced ethical dilemma's when supporting people who have done bad things? Is It's not a problem at all for you? Can't you at least see where other people may have a problem with that?
Bebe 17,093
How do people not know R Kelly's music? I'm pretty sure the problem most people have with R Kelly is the whole child ****ography and rape scenario. Kind of disgusting to support someone like that and put him on a song where he sings those sorts of lyrics. It's a slap in the face to victims of s-xual abuse. Super disappointed in Gaga.
