Americano 31,061
On her perceived rivalry with Lady Gaga: “Gaga and I like to publicly dismiss it because it’s not healthy. You want to feel music. You want it to resonate and relate to you. You can’t look at it like a competition because you ruin the reason why you love music. But I think that sometimes our fan groups are so big and strong, they use it as ammunition.†http://popwatch.ew.com/2013/10/30/this-weeks-cover-katy-perry/

Sunbather 0
I don't like Katy Perry. I do feel like the labels do have competition. But. I... ... for once in my life agree with Katy Perry. You love music because of how it sounds and how it moves you. Even though I feel like Katy Perry is the kind of singer that competes the most (EDIT: To me, anyways, that's how it seems. Maybe it's not intentional? Dunno.), you have to love music for yourself and not just focus on trumping music others like. You can hate other music, but if you focus on attacking other fans when you could be loving your own music, you'll be stuck with a library of 50 songs instead of 5'000 or even 50'000. .... Never thought I'd say this, but well done Katy.
Alien Tulip 12,428
She's such an angel. She's an inspiration to people who are vocally talented and dont need to show skin to receive relevancy. Katy has never been provocative and that is why she's the queen of pop now. Always so sophisticated and mature. Never using s-x as an appeal.
