Just because a performance has a ****load of dancers and props and blood doesn't make it a "higher" performance or better. The shot where she's on the piano and she's framed at the right of the image, with just the backdrop in those solid colors behind her. Soooooo epic. I would never replace this performance to Katy's best. Katy's vocals were embarassing for even listen. Like, am I actually seeing something that other people don't? Because that was one of the most normal, stripped back performances she's ever done. She had her real hair, normal makeup, a nude bikini, a guitar and a piano. What is crazy about that? The only thing "crazy" was her theatrical movements, but they were hardly shocking.
