It went #1 because technically it had been bought as many times as people had pre-ordered the album anyway. It's just not a wise decision to make this a single because of it's charting. Interscope knew it would hit #1 based on pre-orders. I'm just not here for decisions made in haste. Like.. now she needs to rush a video and it's going to be of lower quality than what it would be if it was planned. Performing the song live without R. Kelly is going to be rather awkward considering he actually sings alone for quite a bit of time. Interscope just confuses me. If this is true, I hope the label puts out a different song (specifically ARTPOP/MANiCURE) as the first promo single, then followed by Dope as the second promo single. Agreed.
