But, if you look at Ancient Greek culture (which she's been clearly referencing this era) all the statues are pretty much naked. It's not a s-xual thing, just a pure and honest thing. To me, looking at the album, it doesn't look s-xual in the least. Actually, the opposite. Personally, I think she's trying to attach the ART (a Ancient statue) with POP (Lady Gaga with her signature wig). Ofcourse its s-xual, why do they think they put so many naked statues out there? There also so many statues representing love between two men and so on. ;) And the Album Cover is representing her giving birth to art imo. U can see all her influences behind her and ARTPOP is representing all that. I like the album cover, cause the are so many aspects you can argue about, DWUW on the other hand is just an ass in front of an cam, imo its a little bit cheap but it doesnt matter, its out there, she wanted it this way. Gaga herself is trying to get those sales, see her Twitter bio for one example, she is aware of what she needs to do so I think discussing her marketing technique is definitely a point. And i'd prefer it if I wasn't lumped into one category of people who "speak only of how much they want her to sell" when i'm sure you've only ever seen this singular post. Let's not judge people on one opinion. I agree, it is all about the music, however I also aren't going to buy into the "sales aren't important" opinion some may have. Whilst I love the snippet of DWUW I find the cover to be quite ineffective and generic in comparison to Applause in particular. I mean no negativity but I can't love everything Gaga does. :megaflop: they are important but what happened to that time when we listened to music not caring how much money she has to make in order to be succesfull and sorry if i misjudged u but this forum is full of people who dont appreciate anything she does and all they do is b---h about everything, and complain and they go on and on and on its depressing and upsetting .. im sorry if i offended u no h8 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Literally just yesterday I was looking through The Vaccines' artwork and hoping she would do something similar, so I'm glad they did. I'm not a fan of the image. I don't hate it and I'm not offended by the "nudity" y'all are ranting about, even though she's got underwear on. I just think it's visually bland and doesn't look as nice as the Pierrot did. I would have preferred a facial shot but that was set-up and framed like Applause but with a completely different outfit, makeup etc - every icon. I also don't like the font.
