the snippets of GUY and DWYW(this song SLAYS   HARD) are already better than applause and sound also radio friendly, i mean i really hope DWYW gets released as the 3rd or 4th single because its just ear candy, and that was just a 30s clip + the message she could convey about self steem could be huge without gettin' preachy

I see the song as an interlude to the era and the concept. She released the song as an artistic statement with no intention to promote it as she was busy finishing the album. She even said Venus would be the 1st single if Applause didn't exist, so I feel like Venus will be the 1st real single for her and treated as such
