MelbHawker 6,583
Loving the meltdowns this cover is causing! Some of her stans can't handle it. Queen Gaga! This writers' references are interesting. There is no right or wrong when deciphering the meaning of an artwork. I like how he's interpreting the cover from Jeff Koons' perspective. Really interesting.

Didymus 34,379
Your credentials don't matter if you guess about the meaning of an artwork and its references. With all his credentials, he doesn't even seem to notice that there's another sculpture in the black-and-white part OMG Do you understand irony? :dead: Will Gompertz: "BBC arts editor since 2009 The Times art editor The Guardian art editor He was a Director at the National Gallery of British Art for seven years, where he was responsible for the award-winning Tate Online, the UK's most popular art website, and Tate Etc, the UK's highest circulation art magazine. He was voted one of the world's top 50 creative thinkers by the New York-based Creativity Magazine"
Jeff Kunst 0
Well.. He's talking about Koons, not about Gaga It's a start, and like I said that's along with the other positive reactions to the cover by professional critics. I could be wrong but I think Koons mainly designed the statue and not the whole cover, so he's actually praising/a--lyzing her ideas without knowing it. Your credentials don't matter if you guess about the meaning of an artwork and its references. With all his credentials, he doesn't even seem to notice that there's another sculpture in the black-and-white part What you're calling "guessing" is called interpretation, and you don't have to wait for an artist to explain their art before you interpret it. TimisaMonster 31,073
It's only been out for a day and soooo many critics are already worshiping this cover! Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!
MelbHawker 6,583
I can't with all the "I'm so happy" replies. His a--lysis doesn't make sense. Did you even read it? When it comes to a--lysing art - there is no right or wrong answer bb. His review makes perfect sense to me. He's looked at the artwork, considered who has actually made it, and has found things/other works that may or may not have been intentionally referenced by Koons. shane_c 480
Gaga needs to tweet this. Id love to see people/art critics fighting over whether its great art or not lol.
Didymus 34,379
Am I? I really didn't notice. You're the one who keeps making these ridiculous comments. If you prefer to just believe whatever a man "with credentials" has to say, go ahead. You're embarrassing yourself Obviously there is no right or wrong, but be honest, nobody cares about that in this thread. The majority probably didn't even bother to look up the references that he made. The Warhol and Emin references are a joke. When it comes to a--lysing art - there is no right or wrong answer bb. Jenniferella 2,774
You're embarrassing yourself Are you even going to try to make a reply that makes sense ? More than "you're embarrassing + smiley" for example. "I have been writing LG5 since I was 13"
Jeff Kunst 0
Gaga needs to tweet this. Id love to see people/art critics fighting over whether its great art or not lol. She did (although I don't see it now, for some reason).

Jenniferella 2,774
Not when your first reply was "Art critics...." + a Shaniqua pic I've added some other replies babeh. This (those) member(s) is blind + deaf, there is no point discussing in here with people like that because they don't even reply to other posts properly, there is no debate except "copy/paste wikipedia page + *empty*" "I have been writing LG5 since I was 13"
agustina0407 0
What a legend :worship2: The thing about "art" is that it's not supposed to be for everybody, it's only for a certain elite that has studied it, have cultivated their taste and understands about it. To me that bs, but then again I don't know anything about art! I'm supposed this art critic dude does, but whatever. I like the cover because I think is pretty some don't like it because they think it's not. And that's okay.
