He thinks its a clever entry into the wider conversation of art, replying to and updating works that came before. Which is more than most album covers accomplish. Maybe everyone's praising it because it, along with the other cover reviews, shows people from the media are finally taking Gaga's ambitions seriously, instead of dismissing her ideas and output just because of the genre and audience she targets?
