I like the cover because I think is pretty :flutter:  some don't like it because they think it's not. And that's okay.

THANK YOU

This is exactly what some people tend to forget in here. Like, 90% of GGD doesn't know **** about art and yet act all pretentious and confident about it when it comes to Gaga. It's just....no

Oh really :rip: It's far from obvious to me. The black-and-white and color ****, what is that? :toofloppy:

The Warhol reference is obvious when you look at the cover bb.

What a legend :worship2: :legend:

The thing about "art" is that it's not supposed to be for everybody, it's only for a certain elite that has studied it, have cultivated their taste and understands about it. To me that bs, but then again I don't know anything about art! I'm supposed this art critic dude does, but whatever.

Well the cool thing is, as someone pointed out the other day, she's taking art that would normally only be available to the rich elites who can afford to spend multi-millions on Koons' art and she's making it available to the masses- soon it will be stocking the shelves of Walmart and Target. Which means she's making good on her ridiculous sounding (at the time) promise to make the new era a "reverse-Warholian" experiment- Warhol took mass produced items like soup cans and brought them into the "high art" world, she's doing the reverse.

Your credentials don't matter if you guess about the meaning of an artwork and its references.

With all his credentials, he doesn't even seem to notice that there's another sculpture in the black-and-white part :rip:

Just be happy that they are praising her this time. She gets enough backlash lol. lets just celebrate this one win can we? Thanks for teaching us what "art" is though....

Maybe Adam levines tweets were to you

Kidding, but seriously lets just be happy that this got a good review can we?

So just because someone has an art degree, he's to be trusted in everything he says? If we all need an art degree to understand Gaga's career, then why doesn't Gaga have one?

I was wondering which university did you get the art degree? :giggle:

Yes, you're right! I also tought it was ridiculous at the time but she's actually doing a great job mixing both worlds.

No, but I am not an expert so I will not contradict the opinion of the author as a fact, just like you.

you are so arrogant

I find it cool that this expert despite all his experience did not spot the Apollo and Daphne picture.  It is really is hard to spot.  It shows there is something still there in the cover that you don't realise or appreciate even after repeated viewings, even when you know your subject.  In that sense it is like Gaga's music works, both the music videos, and the songs (in that case repeated listenings).
