MelbHawker 6,583
The sculpture. The Gazing Ball in front of her vagina. Gaze at it lessors. Using appropriation and including the Boticelli paintings/Statues as the background. CAREER ENDING. The other Pop Gurls are nothing.
RAMROD 105,458
I love it, but what are those black and white parts? :O It is B/W pictures:)

Miel 15,009
The Koons sculpture is beautiful (not a fan of the Fame hair, but overall it is beautiful). Not a big fan of the kindergarten let's-take-a-tour-of-art's-finest collage as a background, but it works in context of 'ARTPOP', so I'm not too bothered. It's just, I guess I shouldn't have had expectations? I mean, it met every one that I had, which is good I guess, but also why it feels a little flat. It didn't blow me away, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I just didn't get the same guttural reaction as BTW. I know, I know, they're completely different entities, but this one is just so... normal. Basic. With all the build up and explanation and intellectual, philosophical hype she's been building with the concept of ARTPOP, I expected her to blow my expectations sideways. Instead, it's almost... bland. Unpopular opinion, don't stone me. 3 points in and ready for more
rslayer 0
This cover reveals which fans are basic as hell and which fans appreciate and get it, to be honest. Edited October 7, 2013 by rslayer
KR1994 0
the black and white parts of the album cover remind me quite a bit of the BTW cover.. to me it kinda looks like she's blending The Fame and BTW together in the ARTPOP album cover.. the wig is so TF and the black n white is so BTW... and the rest is ARTPOP =P Edited October 7, 2013 by KR1994

Slyth66 0
My first reaction was "eww what a hideous color for the letters," but then I realized that it's extremely eye catching so seeing the album in store on a shelf will surely get people's attention. Great decision. And it's 1000x better than the BTW cover (the motorcycle, I love the closeup of her face version).
Sakrai 4,759
It's perfect. It's literally perfect! Y'all ignorant basics can say whatever but the cover is perfection. The contrasts of color (Blue and Pink); the flawless sculpture, capturing an actually INTERESTING emotion; the background and the font effect are so in sync; the fact that you can see the studio through the gazing ball and what that says on a conceptual level. And OH! the font!. i mean FINALLY!!! finally she chose Impact when it was the ACTUAL correct choice. It makes me feel like she kinda got lucky. But it is ****ing spot on. The realism; the modern, bold, ultra grotesk sans style of the font is the perfect compliment to the album concept. 'ARTPOP' works majestically the use of pink for the font is something it sure takes some time to get used to. But I think the cover will gain a lot in the long run with that color. It will prove a great reference color in future uses like posters and stuff I'm sure of it. All in all, it's flawless and your ass will deal. :trootea: Like it or not but it's a jewel of modern cover design. :trootea: Oh, I'm just visiting-
