kloeppe 0 Posted October 7, 2013 Share Posted October 7, 2013 Sorry guys but I just hate it Its a huge let down for me, I excpected something much better, she talked about it so much and i was prepared to get slayed but this cover is a joke (my opinion) When she released the first promo picture I thought that would be the cover but I would have LOVED that. I would have loved every single promo picture she has released till this day as the cover. But the cover looks cheap. I understand that its all art and stuff but it just doesnt work for me. I think the font could have been better if it wasn't so flashy and pink, but the sculpture is eerily magnificent. She never goes for convention, order and genericness. They deliberately twisted the font so it's nearly illegible. The alternating pattern of the B&W figures and the burst of colour from the Botticelli painting is dissonant and jarring, like the past mixing with the present, painting and sculpture. It pulls your eyes to the work of art in the middle. And oh wow, Jeff Koons created such a masterpiece. It's bold, attention-grabbing, frustrating, beautiful, unconventional, collage of a burst of ideas. It's all of these things at once. Honestly, I usually am confused with her work, she always makes me rethink whether I like it or not, but after seening the cover in HD I was blown away!
