These are radio numbers, not charts :)

:smh:

Omg. Radio numbers, sales, and streaming are all related to charts.

Yup. TEOG sold 2,325,000 from May 9th, 2011 - December 31st, 2011. (7 months)

That means TEOG sold 467,000 copies from Jan. 1st 2012 - August 2013 (1 year, 8 months)

Applause has only been out for 7 weeks and has sold 1,231,000

Those are no where near its final sales.

I'm so proud of her! Even if this single wasn't supposed to initially be on the album, I still think it contains a lot of energy and I love the Bowie/Annie Lennox-esque verses! Not to mention it's going to be so fun to hear live at the ARTPOP tour...it would be a great closer; it's like a love anthem to her fans, so sweet

I sometimes really wonder if the sales chart aren't also gamed by the music industry to promote a single. It plays on the psychology that if people see a song at # 1, more people will buy it. I mean how could roar still be in the top 3? it's basic as hell!
