Anomaly 134
Because they are hypocrites. They got a lot of money Is that all you guys care about? They're not going to give their song away for nothing, obviously they're going to get money off of it. That's how it works anyways. This is their career, and their music is their product. Their product is being purchased, though they don't really want to sell it. It's more like a "they didn't want to give it to Gaga, but it's Gaga so they didn't have much of a choice" kind of thing. Wouldn't you look at the benefits of the situation if it was you in there shoes? They have kids to feed too you know. The money isn't the issue here. Just because they're getting paid for getting their song taken from them doesn't make them hypocrites.
SEX MUFFIN 63
You have no idea how they are financially, its a sure fire income for them and many people would jump at the opportunity no matter how pretentious they are. Money is money, we all could use a little more, they're no different. You have no idea how they are financially, its a sure fire income for them and many people would jump at the opportunity no matter how pretentious they are. Money is money, we all could use a little more, they're no different. Im totally not fighting or anything. Im just saying that its sad that so many millions of people only care about money. Why not put a little heart into what you do and respect others choices? For example I would rather have a lower paying job that I love and do everything properly then have some crappy job that I hate and get paid more. I think its sad that these guys reacted so harshly..after all they could have just said no to Gaga and found a more creative way to gain an imagine and money Edited October 5, 2013 by SEX MUFFIN

Illuminati Freak 2,432
Are we sure this was even translated properly? I don't trust this at all. If they really said these things why in the hell is GaGa even releasing the song? Releasing Aura seems reductive now. Celina 118
They have really pathetic hipster attitudes. I wonder what they'd be saying if the song was actually generic Edited October 5, 2013 by Cellie
Didymus 34,379
They did say that they were proud that a person like Lady Gaga wanted their song I really don't think they were trying to attack her personally. Ok, but why were they so rude about Gaga. They should have kept his mouth shut. they are not professionals.

FrozenKookie 2,638
Guys, they're entitled to their opinion. It was THEIR song to begin with. Imagine you had created something that you loved, and some big pop star that creates music you aren't interested in comes along and says "I want it." It's like your baby, you don't want to give it up, but saying "No" to someone like Gaga isn't easy, and like they said, would end up costing them a lot of money they could have made. Just because they're not into Gaga's music and don't like what they did to their song (don't forget, it's THEIR song, they're going to have high expectations of it) doesn't mean they are being rude or disrespectful to Gaga in any way. Did everyone miss the part where they said that they're honored that someone in Gaga's league found potential in their tracks? Pop music isn't their thing, so what is with all the hate? In my opinion, you're all being 10x ruder than they are. I'm trying to put that into consideration, but let's not also forget they had a full control of the situation once right? That's why it's partially bull****. They are really entitled in their opinions and I do respect that but what they did is just to protect their balls (what they call artistic integrity for their "mostly" straight fans) and a bit hostile which is a bit too much. Yes, we're already there that they're disappointed but do they really need to do the talking of what an artistic integrity is? Wasn't that foul and playing the victim card on the aftermath and explicitly dropping the "money matters" reasoning. The contradiction and hypocrisy, rather the pretentiousness is utterly pathetic to reconsider. I'm not trying to tell who's the bigger and irrelevant but there it is. Anomaly 134
Ok, but why were they so rude about Gaga. They should have kept his mouth shut. they are not professionals. Like I said, I don't think they're being rude to Gaga. They even said they were honored that someone in her league liked their song, which I pointed out in a previous post. They just aren't into the pop music scene. It's like if a country singer or a metalhead wanted to use one of your songs, and you're not a part of their scene. You would probably be put off by it too, and since it's your work that you worked hard to create, you would have an opinion on how they alter your music, and you would be entirely entitled to that opinion. If it sounds like typical pop to you, then it sounds like typical pop. They might have been able to word it a bit differently, but don't forget that this is translated and might have held a different weight in another language. It just seems that they're reluctant to be used for pop music, but at the same time still pay their respects to someone in a league such as Gaga.
