The thing about the album is that I can't HATE any of the songs because they are just so typical. I don't know if that's a good thing or not. 

Basically this.... they are SO, SO typical.

Unconditionally sounds nothing like I thought it would. There's a huge chance it will flop given what they are doing with releasing it with the album the 22nd. Other songs might be preferred and the GP will pay it dust.

 

^^ TD was the one-song long album. This is just way slower but I like it. Need to hear the full songs though.

But this is Katy Perry we are talking about. HIGHLY unlikely, regardless of how weak the song is.

I don't think this will do as good as Teenage Dream. Teenage Dream was full of potential singles and PRISM has 4-5 potential singles of which 2 already have been promo singles. If Unconditionally is the second, she'll still have Dark Horse to release as third and Birthday to release as fourth but I don't see any other single-worthy songs. 

 

But we shouldn't underestimate Capitol. They probably planned it to have a song which is a grower to have more longetivity.

YES. This is what I think too. Thank god Gaga can diversify herself (which is why I loved BTW so much). The songs at swinefest alone were all pretty different from each other, and G.U.Y is just continuing that trend.

Why is every song a mid tempo ballad though? And why are none of them as good as Teenage Dream or TOTGA or Wide Awake? It sounds like Katy began and finished this album in less than a month.

That was the biggest piece of **** album i have heard this year. :pukey:  :pukey:  :pukey:    For God's sake.   This is what she came up with? You know what? I take back everything terrible I said about Applause's underperformance. Lord have mercy on my soul, that I support an artist like Gaga who doesn't need to appeal to the numbskulls and lowest common denominators of today's society to sell crappy music.   This confirms everything: One 12 second snippet of a song beat out 16 piece of **** songs. The sad thing is the GP is gonna eat this **** up and the singles will shoot number one. Like why GP, why?
